Player preferences are a major part of having a good time in Among Us. However, some in-game features just get so overused they can really hinder having fun. Among Us' Emergency Meetings can be useful, but they're starting to get overused. Because so many players are abusing the feature now, Emergency Meetings should just be turned off to have optimal fun in Among Us.

There are a lot of helpful features and mods in Among Us. Some of these, like the Proximity Voice Chat Mod, can make a game even better. Others, like calling Emergency Meetings, were designed to be useful to players but can actually make Among Us worse. The main reason for this is because some players abuse the system, and it can end up ruining the fun for everyone.

When an Emergency Meeting in Among Us is called, all players are teleported to the Cafeteria or Office on a map and then unable to move - no matter what. It's a major disruption of the game's flow, but it's meant to be. It's supposed to be an emergency, after all. However, when it's not really an emergency, it's just annoying. Using the button to announce hacks, spam ads, or even just to prove you can do visual tasks isn't a good reason to call an Emergency Meeting in Among Us.

Too Many Emergency Meetings Can Ruin Among Us

There are a number of annoying ways people abuse Among Us' Emergency Meetings system. When the game starts, some players will use the opportunity to call Emergency Meetings to prove they're doing a visual task. It's even more irritating whenever someone calls an Emergency Meeting in Among Us to announce they've got hacks and then reveal who the Impostor is, abruptly ending the fun.

Abusing the Emergency Meeting system is also a surefire way to ruin the tension and suspense a social deduction game like Among Us tries to create. Playing the game without using Emergency Meetings can help amp up the tension and keep people from using it unnecessarily. It can also ensure people won't spoil the fun by announcing their hacks and revealing the Impostor through cheating, or at least delay this moment until the first body is reported. Until InnerSloth updates Among Us next and, hopefully, makes some changes to Emergency Meetings, the best way to play the game is without using the feature at all.

The Emergency Meetings system in Among Us has simply been overused. It's not that it's a bad system, but people have abused it for too long. It can be especially frustrating when playing with a group of strangers. The quickest fix is to just not have Emergency Meetings at all, at least in public lobbies. This way, everyone can have fun without worrying about unnecessary interruptions or hack announcements.
