Klek Entos is a magician competing on this season of America’s Got Talent. Though he didn’t give much of a backstory on the show, we found some information on his life. The masked magician blew the judges' minds when he used ink blotches to make a live spider appear before their very eyes. Once it appeared, he made it disappear into thin air, leaving a puff of smoke in its wake. Klek Entos is one of several magic acts to audition so far (others include Dustin Tavella and Patrick Kun), but his spooky demeanor and hidden identity made him especially unique.

When the America’s Got Talent cameras began glitching and the lights in the theater began flickering, the judges, audience, and crew seemed to be left in confusion. That was, until a masked man holding an axe behind his head appeared on screen saying, “Do not try to adjust your television. There is nothing wrong with your screen. Do not try to resist. I’m in control now.” The man then appeared onstage with dark round glasses and a head wrapped in white fabric, leading Simon to say, “I never knew Howie had a twin.”

The “sum of all our fears,” as Klek Entos called himself, appeared on France’s Got Talent twice. His first appearance was in 2018 when he performed as himself, David Stone. He returned in 2020 with the pseudonym we came to see in America, Klek Entos. Though he didn’t reveal his identity until the finale, his last name hinted at his true self, as Entos is an anagram of Stone. Klek Entos has also performed on Penn & Teller: Fool Us and won third place at the World Championships of magic in 2006. He also received a Magic Woods award for Best Magician in 2008.

Klek was born in France and has been practicing magic since he was 18 after a friend showed him a magic trick. Since then, he has made a name for himself appearing in several French films and writing a book called Close-up: The Real Secrets of Magic, which sold out in 15 days in France. According to his official website, he specializes in close-up magic, coin magic, and misdirection. Prior to being on big shows like America’s Got Talent, he performed in restaurants, cabarets, and performance halls while continuing school. He studied psychology and philosophy at the University of Amiens. He is influenced by David Copperfield, Michael Ammar, Gary Kurtz, and many others. He currently has a YouTube channel where he has collected a total of over three million views.

“You are insane and this whole thing was eerie and scary but I love you,” long-time judge Heidi Klum told Klek Entos. After his chilling performance, the judges all gave him a “Yes,” insinuating they were too frightened to tell him otherwise. Like other contestants who earned yes's, Klek is scheduled to return for the judge cuts. If his performances on America’s Got Talent are anything like that of the French talent show, we can expect him to go far.
