For many years, former American Idol judge Simon Cowell split his time living in between a Beverly Hills mansion and his home in the United Kingdom. Simon Cowell became a household name around the globe after successfully launching American Idol on Fox and being regarded as the main judge on the show. Overall, Simon's unfiltered criticisms and often brutal judging style became a reality TV mainstay for several other competition series. While Simon had his fair share of critics, he and fellow judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson went on to turn many aspiring singers into superstars.

Often praised or criticized for his "savage" comments on American Idol, Simon Cowell's brash personality has significantly softened up in recent years. After many years of dating his partner Lauren Silverman, she went on to get pregnant. The fans never expected that Simon would want to become a father, but he opened up to the idea, and the couple welcomed their son, Eric, in February 2014. Since then, Simon's overall thinking has apparently shifted as his real estate decisions have focused more on his family dynamic and on raising Eric.

As a TV personality who works both in the United States and the United Kingdom, Simon Cowell has always lived in between two different properties depending on what his work demands are. In the US, Simon has long resided in a Beverly Hills mansion worth $25 million. According to Dirt, Simon's California home spans 9,614 square feet and includes five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Amenities in the property include a movie theater, a tanning salon, a full-scale gym, a large swimming pool, as well as a spa/steam room. The OG American Idol judge has reportedly sold his Beverly Hills home, but he still has his place in the United Kingdom. Across the pond, Simon Cowell owns a seven-bedroom mansion in Wimbledon, which is in the South London area. The residence is estimated at £15 million, which amounts to more than $20 million in US dollars. According to The Daily Mirror, Simon is currently renovating his UK home, which was purchased in 2019. It is unlikely that Simon Cowell would ever return to judge American Idol, but he is doing just fine with the Got Talent franchise and the Syco brand. The COVID-19 quarantine has made international traveling much harder, but Simon will likely still be living in between the US and the UK once travel restrictions are officially lifted.
