Claudia Conway, daughter of Kellyanne Conway, is scheduled to appear on American Idol on Sunday, February 14. The show has released a teaser featuring the sixteen-year-old and her controversial family members. She is already a successful influencer on TikTok, with 1.7 million followers.

The past few months have proved Claudia needed this big break. She has been exposing her parents Kellyanne and George -- NeverTrumpers but infamous enough to go viral on a regular basis and for Kellyanne to be parodied on SNL -- as alleged emotional and physical abusers. Claudia is seeking legal emancipation while building her career as a social media influencer on TikTok and finishing secondary school. She has two years to go before becoming an adult legally.

Vanity Fair broke the news, along with a link to a teaser. In the clip, the parents show support for Claudia, who has posted her singing on TikTok along with the accusations and allegations. She's talking with them before appearing in front of the three judges -- Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan. The narrator proclaims that Claudia seeks a golden ticket, and to become the next beloved performer across the United States. While the fifteen seconds do not show any singing, Claudia's fans can hear her voice on TikTok when she posts videos.

All the judges are safely distanced, to account for the reasons why production was halted in 2020, and they are ready to listen. Whether or not Claudia wins, appearing on the show will boost her career and image. (This doesn't necessarily mean that appearing will be merely a stunt; she has shown a love for singing on her social media, so it is safe to assume that Claudia will sing at her top one hundred percent.) She's already well-known and beloved for her TikTok posts, as well as for her analysis of current events. This can only benefit her standing on social media, especially as more people hear her from the safety of their home.

This should also help with home tensions. The worst incident so far is that, per Variety, Claudia has accused her mother of stealing nude photos from her phone and posting them to social media. Since this is technically pornography and exploitation of a minor if proven true, the announcement was enough to supposedly warrant a police visit to the Conway household. While Claudia would later retract what she said, and Kellyanne maintains that she was hacked, social media users are still suspicious.

Claudia posted that she had auditioned in November, and Katy Perry confirmed it with an Instagram story and video. Whether or not Claudia wins, appearing on the show will boost her career and image. George at least seems to be a good sport about the competition, having appeared in some of Claudia's TikTok videos. Her performance should be fun, and enthralling.
