Macaulay Culkin makes his debut in the first look at American Horror Story season 1o. The horror anthology premiered on FX back in 2011, enduring thanks to the actors' chemistry on screen. The show’s cast is primarily comprised of recurring performers, with a few first-time actors added to the mix now and then. The highly-anticipated milestone season is no exception, as Culkin joins returning American Horror Story vets such as Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.

The COVID-19 pandemic has delayed the debut of the new episodes. But with production currently underway in Provincetown, Massachusetts, fans can expect to learn more about the series’ secretive plot finally. A new image highlighting Culkin’s AHS arrival could potentially prove to be illuminating in that regard.

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy unveiled an image from the set of the anthology, which offers the first look at the Home Alone star. Along with Leslie Grossman, who has appeared in several installments of the series, Culkin is dressed to the nines. The duo seems to be enjoying a pleasant stroll along the beach, although Murphy’s caption warns that “something wicked this way comes.” You can check the image below.

As is typically the case in the run-up to its premiere, not much is known about the coming season. Fans do have several hints about what shape American Horror Story season 10 will take. One dominant theory is that the upcoming batch of episodes will focus on aquatic horror, a possibility that is backed up by how the show has been promoted so far. In the initial video, unveiling the large cast of season 10, a slow video of waves and sand accompanied the announcement of the actor’s names. Additionally, images of American Horror Story season 10 have highlighted sharp teeth, which are reminiscent of sharks. The fact that Culkin and Grossman are enjoying a day at the beach only strengthens the theory.

There are others. An opposing view suggests that the series will return to themes and possibly characters introduced in AHS: Freak Show. Still, the story specifics ultimately matters less than the fact that capable actors are involved. A typical season of American Horror Story zigs and zags, beginning with a few ideas and then ramping up to introduce dozens of others. The same will likely hold true when the FX series makes its long-awaited premiere, with Culkin getting a chance to act out the anthology’s unique brand of horror.
