Stevie Nicks memorably appeared in American Horror Story and performed a handful of songs much to the delight of viewers. The singer/songwriter is best known for being the vocalist of the popular band, Fleetwood Mac, a role she still continues to this day. In 2014, Nicks had a cameo in the horror anthology's third season, Coven, after an invitation from Ryan Murphy. She then reprised her role in season 8, Apocalypse.

Nicks played herself in American Horror Story but with a clever twist. She was introduced as the "White Witch," a powerful witch with connections to the coven. According to the series, Nicks met the Supreme, Fiona Goode, sometime after joining Fleetwood Mac in 1975. At some point, the two witches formed a friendship which was why Nicks answered Fiona's call so quickly to visit Miss Robichaux's Academy. Some of Nicks' powers included telekinesis and transmutation as presented through various scenes.

The White Witch was presented as a role model to the young witches such as Zoe Benson, Madison Montgomery, and of course, Misty Day. Coven in particular featured multiple Fleetwood Mac songs like "Edge of Seventeen," "Rihannon," and "Sara". Other songs featured were "Landslide," "Kind of Woman," "Silver Springs," "Leather and Lace," and "Gypsy." Many of the songs were heard multiple times throughout the season. With the singer appearing on the series, and the fact that she played a version of herself, Murphy couldn't pass up on having Nicks play some of her greatest hits. Here's what Nicks performed during her time on American Horror Story.

  • "Rihannon" in Season 3, Episode 10: Since Misty was a huge fan of Stevie Nicks, Fiona invited the singer to Miss Robichaux's Academy. Nicks played "Rihannon" in the episode titled "The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks" as the other girls watched Misty try to master Nicks' iconic twirl. The song was written by Stevie and recorded by Fleetwood Mac before being released in 1976.
  • "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?" in Season 3, Episode 10: Later that same episode, Nicks was seen on the piano playing "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?" as Fiona was overcome with sadness and exhaustion. Technically, this was not a Fleetwood Mac song since Stevie released in her 1985 solo album, Rock a Little. The album was created while the band was on a hiatus.
  • "Seven Wonders" in Season 3, Episode 13: In Coven's finale, titled "The Seven Wonders," the young witches participated in the ultimate test to find the new Supreme. As the girls prepare for the Seven Wonders test, Nicks sang her beloved song, "Seven Wonders." The 1987 song was released as part of Fleetwood Mac's album, Tango in the Night.
  • "Gypsy" in Season 8, Episode 5: Stevie reprised her American Horror Story role in Apocalypse during the episode, "Boy Wonder." Cordelia, the current Supreme, invited Nicks to the Hawthorne School for Exceptional Young Men to cheer Misty up after she was resurrected. To do so, Nicks sang "Gypsy," a song on Fleetwood Mac's 1982 Mirage album.
