American Horror Story: Coven is one of the most popular seasons and revolves around a coven of witches. The season has some of the most powerful characters in the entire AHS franchise, who were popular enough to return as important protagonists of season 8, AHS: Apocalypse. The witches are some of the important characters in American Horror Story.

Bubbles McGee

Bubbles McGee and Myrtle Snow in American Horror Story

Bubbles McGee is a famous film star witch first introduced in American Horror Story: Apocalypse. Bubbles is a close friend of Myrtle Snow and an ex-member of the coven who moved away to pursue her career as an actress.

When Bubbles is called out of retirement to help her fellow coven sisters in AHS: Apocalypse, she is revealed to be extremely proficient with the power of Clairvoyance. Although Bubbles has only mastered one of the Seven Wonders with Concilium, her skills in Clairvoyance are so finessed that she is capable of Lectio Animo,  the ability to listen to a person's soul to extract the truth in a situation. Bubbles uses this skill to assist the Coven witches in their struggle against Michael Langdon and warn them of a betrayal from the Hawthorne School, proving herself to be a significant asset.

Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt

Coco St Pierre Vanderbilt is a witch introduced in AHS: Apocalypse. Coco is the privileged daughter of a billionaire, who first came into contact with her powers as a witch when she prevented her brother from eating a piece of bread with gluten in it, later discovering that he has Celiac disease.

Coco has manifested one of the Seven Wonders, with her skills of Divination. Coco's Divination skills are proven to be rather developed and unusual, allowing her to have the power of Danger Detection, Location Detection, Gluten Detection, and Calorie Detection. Through AHS: Apocalypse, Coco made significant improvements in her abilities, and many fans were delighted to see her find a place of belonging within the Coven alongside her new best friend, Mallory.

Fiona Goode

Fiona Goode is introduced to viewers as Supreme of the Coven, and mother to Cordelia Goode. Fiona is a powerful witch and makes a huge impact in AHS: Coven with her role as a villain. Fiona is considered to be one of the best AHS: Coven characters.

As the Supreme Witch, Fiona has mastered all the Seven Wonders, and her power was undeniable. Unfortunately for Fiona, her biggest downfall was the way she treated others and ran the Coven, with selfish actions and hurtful remarks thrown out in every conversation - especially to her daughter, Cordelia. Fiona was an absolute force to reckon with, and an unquestionably powerful witch that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Queenie

Queenie is an instructor at the Coven and a member of the Witches Council that comes from a unique bloodline of both Salem witches and the Voodoo tribe. Queenie works closely with Cordelia Goode and Zoe Benson to ensure the Coven's growth and success.

Known for labeling herself a human voodoo doll, Queenie can transfer self-inflicted wounds and pain to another person through her Injury Transference ability. Zoe Benson

Zoe Bensen in AHS: Coven

Zoe Benson, alongside Queenie, is also a member of the Witches Council and instructor at the Coven. She works alongside Cordelia to ensure the success and growth of the Academy, and has learned to balance and control her powers with great success since her first appearance in the show.

Zoe is a naturally talented witch, having mastered six of the Seven Wonders. Zoe has also grown to be one of the most capable witches in the category of Spellcraft, and has since become an expert teacher of this particular branch of magic during the time between AHS: Coven and AHS: Cult.

Myrtle Snow

Myrtle Snow is Head of the Witches Council and has strong affiliations with Cordelia and the Coven. Myrtle is an intelligent, quirky and passionate witch known for her finessed skills and preferences in truth spells.

Known to have mastered four of the Seven Wonders, Myrtle was a powerful witch, who only grew in power each time she was burned at the stake and bought back to life. Myrtle was a character with unwavering loyalty, who didn't hesitate to sacrifice her own life in the name of what was best for Cordelia and the witches, causing many fans to regard her as the bravest character on AHS: Coven.

Misty Day

Misty Day is a gentle witch with an adoring obsession for Fleetwood Mac, who lived alone in a swamp before being welcomed into the Coven. Misty is a witch containing the gift of Resurgence: the magical ability to bring souls back from the dead.

Misty Day has mastered four of the Seven Wonders, failing to complete Discensum and becoming trapped in her personal hell. Misty has a kind-hearted and loving nature that fans fell in love with, as she spends her time nurturing plants and animals. Misty has impressive Resurgence skills, successfully bringing Myrtle back to life from a pile of ashes after she was burned at the stake.

Madison Montgomery

Madison Montgomery is a fan favorite character known for her drama-oriented, selfish personality, and iconic relatable one-liners and quotes throughout the AHS franchise. Madison was a talented witch and was a previous member of the Coven before being sentenced to hell upon her death at the hand of Kyle Spencer.

Madison was a powerful witch who mastered six of the Seven Wonders, and was shown to excel in Telekinesis and Pyrokinesis, specifically. Madison's cold exterior led to significant character development and important decisions in AHS: Apocalypse after being brought back from hell, causing fans to only love her more for her personal growth and newfound strength.

Mallory

Mallory is a witch introduced in AHS: Apocalypse and is known as one of Billie Lourd's most popular AHS characters. Mallory is a descendant of a long and powerful line of Salem witches. She was enrolled in the Coven after her parents found her floating in her sleep and shunned her as a devil worshiper.

Mallory's powers are undeniable, and it is no surprise when she is revealed to be the next Supreme in line, destined to surpass Cordelia. Mallory has mastered all the Seven Wonders with immense skill, with her powers so strong that the Anti-Christ Michael Langdon fell intimidated, and had to call upon his father for help. Alongside the original Supreme, Scathach, Mallory is the most powerful witch shown in the series to date.

Cordelia Goode

Cordelia Goode is the current Supreme and Headmistress of the Coven Academy and is also the daughter of prior Supreme, Fiona Goode. Cordelia is a selfless and kind-hearted witch who has continued to educate, protect and make sacrifices for those around her.

As Supreme, Cordelia has mastered all Seven Wonders, and before Mallory's appearance, Cordelia was declared the most powerful witch in the world. Cordelia is a fiercely brave and protective Supreme, keeping her beloved students and fellow colleagues under her wing at all times. Cordelia has proven patient, smart and precise with her decisions, and it was ultimately her who led Mallory to save the world in AHS: Apocalypse. Cordelia has all the qualities of a strong and loving leader, and fans have been known to hold her in their hearts as one of the favorite characters in the entire American Horror Story franchise.
