Whenever American Dad graces us with a Steve episode we are forever grateful. The second child and only son of Francine and Stan is very clearly a product of his own environment. He can be manipulative, loud, anxious and vengeful. These are traits that both his parents exhibit, regularly.

Because of this, Steve has gotten himself involved in some crazy situations. Some because of his own doing. He isn’t as innocent as Francine would like to believe. In fact, if we had to put a vote to it, we would say that Steve would be the first to backstab his family to save his own life. Here are some of the shady, questionable things that Steve has done.

Swore At Francine

After Francine asked Steve to set the table, but this involved turning off his video game. He was not down for that. When she plugged out his game without saving his progress, she was met with every mother’s worst nightmare. He yelled the F-word at her and stormed off.

In retaliation, Francine iced him out in the coldest way possible. She didn’t cook him dinner, she stopped talking to him, and she even pretended to like Hayley more than him (which we all know is not true).

He Shoplifted

Steve has a bad boy side to him, and every now and again it pops up and screws him over. He isn’t great at being a bad boy, so, when Francine decided to teach him her secret hobby of shoplifting, fans knew it was going to end in disaster. He shoplifted at a Gap knockoff called The Gash and was caught immediately. Francine had to end up breaking him out of their holding facility. The facility that forces shoplifters to make their clothes without pay.

He Cooked Drugs On Vacation

That bad boy side reared its ugly head again. While on their annual family vacation, Steve finds out that Hayley and Jeff are trying to conceive. He decides that, in order to prepare to be an uncle, he must do some grownup things. So, he didn’t get a job or take on more responsibility at home.

He took a job cooking drugs and things got… hectic. He involved Klaus, who ended up torturing the other drug cookers, and Steve completely lost control, thus proving he is not ready to be responsible for anyone not even himself.

Watched Hayley And Jeff Hook Up

It seems like vacation Steve is wild Steve. He always gets up to no good. When he thought he was too old to hang out at the resort camp, Steve and a mysterious English boy go on their own adventure. They intend to find a nude beach and take a quick peek at some girls.

After an uphill battle, a lot of bruises, falling off a freaking mountain, and getting covered in poison ivy, they finally find the beach. Only, all the couples are old, and there are a lot of men. Steve spots Hayley and Jeff on the beach, and, while he pretends to be disgusted, he can’t stop looking. He takes a long gander at his sister’s body, it was uncomfortable.

Ran A Fake ID Scam

When Hayley realized that she hasn’t done anything with her life, she decides to get out there and make a change. Unfortunately, making a change can sometimes be costly, and she didn’t have the capital to do that. She convinces Steve to make fake IDs with her to sell to minors.

They end up making a killing, but the one running the real risk is Steve because he has gained a reputation for making the best fake IDs, and now Stan is looking for his alter ego. He enjoyed it way more than he should have.

Holds Snot Down

This hasn’t only happened one time. Steve is a bad friend to Snot, and it is shown over and over again how he tries to hold him down. Most recently, Steve got so jealous of Snot for bonding with Tuttle at a camp that is sentimental to him and Stan, so he sabotaged their bonding activities.

In the past, Steve has tried to take the attention away from Snot when he was grieving his father’s death. He has even sabotaged his mother’s new relationship so Snot would have to move out of his new condo.

Sold Roger Into Sex Slavery

Back the early days of American Dad when Stan moved the family to Saudia Arabia. Steve, being a man, held a lot of power. Roger’s persona was a woman who Steve was tasked with escorting around the city. Steve sold Roger to a random man for some money and a few other things. This man ended up selling Roger into the sex trade. Fortunately for Roger, it ended up kind of working in his favor. For Steve, he got stuck in the desert when he ran out of gas in his fancy car.

Witch Steve

In season 12, Steve and his friends took up the art of witchcraft. When they lose their table in the cafeteria and are threatened to be beaten up, they fight back using witch's magic and some seriously bad juju spells. Steve gets out of control Fairuza Balk The Craft style and turns the head jock into his personal zombie. Steve’s attitude and actions get increasingly out of control until he has to be taken down by Principal Lewis who happens to be a witch hunter by birthright. Can this show get any more entertaining?

Cheated At Water Polo

Frustrated with his lack of popularity and wanting to be apart of the lettermen jacket crew, Steve enlists the help of Klaus to help him make the team. Klaus claims he is skilled enough to not only get Steve a spot on the team but to make him the number one player. Klaus controls Steve’s game by pulling at his pubic hair and getting him to make all the necessary shots.

Steve is so ungrateful and ultimately forgets that Klaus is the one actually playing the game. When Klaus quits, Steve realizes he can’t do it on his own and fails his team.

Sold CIA Secrets To The NSA

According to Stan, the CIA is way better than the NSA. When he takes Steve to work and makes him the butt of his joke in front of his colleagues, Steve retaliates. He tells all of the CIA’s secrets to the NSA, and this forces the CIA to have to retaliate.

Steve eventually finds out that the NSA was using him. In fact, treating him worse than his father did. But, it’s too late; the secrets are sold, and Stan is furious. He eventually forgives Steve but has to cut his losses. Steve is so petty sometimes.
