Impeachment: American Crime Story teaser shows that Monica Lewinsky has a gift for Bill Clinton. Produced by Ryan Murphy, the anthology crime series debuted in 2016 and highlighted the events surrounding the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Continuing to chronicle famous crimes from the ‘90s, season 2 put a scope on the assassination of fashion designer Gianni Versace. Last year, it was announced that American Crime Story season 3 would tackle the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, as told from Lewinksy’s point of view. Now, the teaser for Impeachment shows Beanie Feinstein as a young Monica Lewinsky.
FX has unveiled the teaser trailer for Impeachment: American Crime Story, which will debut on September 7. Showing only the back of Feldstein as Monica, the teaser begins in Washington, D.C., 1995. Tailing Monica as she walks through the White House with a gift for Bill hidden in a file folder, the trailer features an on-screen graphic that reads, “The President of the United States had a secret affair with a 22-year-old intern.” After the President’s secretary says, “Mr. President? Miss Lewinsky's here to see you,” the teaser slowly fades to black after Monica enters the Oval Office without Monica or Bill’s faces being shown. Check out the trailer below:
Starring Feldstein, Clive Owen as Bill Clinton, Edie Falco as Hillary Clinton, Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, Impeachment intends to shed new light on the notorious scandal. Although Monica’s face is never shown, Feldstein’s saunter, mannerisms, and wardrobe make it apparent that she is the intern whose life was changed forever by the Oval Office. Indeed, the teaser for Impeachment has furthered the anticipated to see the rest of the cast as the real-life figures that were involved. Audiences will have to tune in on September 7 to see the saga of the Clinton presidency scandal unfold in Impeachment: American Crime Story.
