Amazon has officially announced the date for Prime Day 2021. Prime Day is Amazon's annual shopping event exclusively for Prime subscribers, offering them a heap of deals and savings across a wide array of products.

Since its inception six years ago, Prime Day has quickly become just as popular as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Amazon hosted its first Prime Day in July 2015, offering 24 hours of constant deals for shoppers to take advantage of. Prime Day 2017 saw the sale extend a bit longer to 30 hours, Prime Day 2018 went up to 36 hours, and it's now become a 48-hour shopping event ever since Prime Day 2019. Amazon Prime Day traditionally takes place in mid-July, but thanks to ongoing struggles due to COVID-19, last year's event didn't happen until October for U.S. shoppers.

Now that life is starting to get back to normal and Amazon isn’t dealing with as many shipping/supply constraints, it’s looking to make this year’s Prime Day as exciting as possible. Prime Day 2021 has officially been confirmed for June 21 and 22 — making it the earliest Prime Day to date. The deals officially kick-off at 3:00 AM ET on June 21 and will keep on going for the usual 48 hours. Prime members can expect deals on everything from Echo speakers, smart TVs, laptops, clothes, furniture, and anothing else in between.

Best Deals & Tips For Prime Day 2021

While the biggest savings won’t be available until June 21, Amazon is already offering a few select discounts to get people in the shopping mood. A 32-inch Toshiba HD Fire TV is currently available for just $130 (normally $200), and a 43-inch Insignia 4K Fire TV can be had for $220 (normally $320). Amazon is also now offering a 4-month free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited instead of its usual 1-month trial, 53 percent off someone’s first 4 months of an Audible subscription, and up to 20 percent off ‘daily essentials’ from select Amazon brands (pet products, health care items, snacks, etc.).

One of the more exciting deals is the free $10 Amazon is giving away with select gift card purchases. After customers add $40 or more of select Amazon gift cards to their cart and add the coupon code “GIFTFORPD21” at checkout, they’ll receive a $10 promotional credit two days after their purchase. For anyone that’s an avid Amazon shopper and plans on picking up a few items during Prime Day, that’s free money that shouldn’t be left on the table. The offer is aClive as of Monday, June 2, and is available until 11:59 PM ET on June 20.

Anyone with the Amazon Prime credit card also has a nice bonus to look forward to. When using the card to buy anything on Amazon during Prime Day, they’ll receive an extra 1 percent in rewards towards their purchase — increasing the usual 5 percent reward to 6 percent. That may not sound like a massive deal on its own, but when combined with all of the other savings/discounts that’ll be available, anything else on top is great to see.
