A new clip from season 2 of The Boys shows the team impaling a whale with a boat. Based on the comics of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Amazon released season 1 of The Boys TV series in 2019. The entire first season of the series was made available to binge, and the superhero satire immediately stood apart from the gluttony of recent comic book adaptations. Amazon was well aware of the success that The Boys would become and renewed the series for a second season before the first dropped.

Ever since the full season debuted last summer, fans have been anxiously waiting to see what comes next in The Boys. The first season was filled with bloody violence as Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), and The Boys began a war with The Seven, a group of superheroes. As serious as The Boys could be at times, though, there were also plenty of over-the-top and shocking moments, with an incident involving The Deep (Chase Crawford) and a dolphin one that particularly stands out. Now a new clip from season 2 of The Boys shows how the series is taking it to the next level.

During The Boys' panel for Comic-Con@Home, a clip from season 2 was released involving The Boys and The Deep. The scene shows The Boys (who are now back together) speeding through the ocean aboard a boat as several sharks chase them. This is the result of The Deep, who emerges on the back of a whale and tries to stop The Boys from escaping. As the clip shows, this situation can only end in typical The Boys fashion: with a boat impaling a whale.

After the debut of this clip, the Comic-Con@Home panel included the cast and showrunner Eric Kripke discussing what it took to film the sequence. Karl Urban was actually the one responsible for driving the boat and made a few of his castmates seasick due to the high speeds and waves. It was done as practically as possible, too, with a giant whale built so the boat could impale it. The cast wouldn't give too much away about what happens after this scene, but it appears to end with members of The Boys inside of the whale's remains.

This clip isn't the only piece of news to come from The Boys' Comic-Con@Home panel, though. It was officially confirmed that The Boys has been renewed for a third season by Amazon. Kripke made the announcement during the panel and revealed that production would hopefully begin in early 2021. Meanwhile, season 2 has also received some extra content thanks to an after-show hosted by the panel's moderator Aisha Tyler. If this latest clip is an example of just how crazy season 2 of The Boys will be, just imagine what the third season could contain.
