[UPDATE: As quickly as it appeared, Sony has pulled this video off the Web. We'll have to wait and see if it resurfaces.]
The spies have been like flies on the wall during the LA and NYC shoots of Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man. The amateur paparazzi have been dutifully providing us hungry fans all over the Web with choice pictures and videos of everything from Spidey's live-action web-slinging, to The Lizard's (Rhys Ifans) makeup, to characters like Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) getting cute and cuddly with each other.
Today, however, brings the most juicy bit info spied on the set of Webb's film: the now-famous "death of Uncle Ben" sequence, which leaves young Peter Parker forever imprinted with the mantra "With great power, comes great responsibility," and sets the course for the young man with arachnid abilities to become the hero known as Spider-Man.
I won't keep talking, we'll just get right to it - here is Garfield as Peter, finding his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) at death's door. Even though everybody knows that Uncle Ben dies, this is still considered a SPOILER for those who don't want to know exactly how it goes down in Webb's movie. WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK:
What do you think - does Garfield seem well-suited to handle the dramatic moments in Peter Parker's life?
The Amazing Spider-Man will be in theaters on July 3, 2012.
