Marvel's The Avengers has officially kicked the summer 2012 movie season off to a record-breaking start, and other studios are no doubt chomping at the bit to get into the game with their own tentpole offerings.
Today we've rounded up new promotional images from The Amazing Spider-Man, as well as new TV advertisements for Pixar's princess fairy tale Brave and the sci-fi threequel Men in Black III. Add to that a hilarious clip featuring the love life of David Hasselhoff as depicted in Piranha 3DD, a vertigo-inducing new clip from Snow White and the Huntsman, and a Japanese trailer and final poster for the sequel/reboot G.I. Joe Retaliation.
The Amazing Spider-Man Promo Images
Have you seen the third trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man yet? If not, you may still be under the impression that this Spider-Man reboot from Sony and director Marc Webb ((500) Days of Summer) is going to be a disaster. If that latest trailer taught ME anything, it's that Amazing Spider-Man is going to be anything but; in fact, I have a feeling that the 3D effects in ASM will likely trump that post-conversion job we got with The Avengers. (Yup, I said it!)
Today's promo images aren't going to excite the naysayers, but fans of Amazing Spider-Man should enjoy seeing Andrew Garfield as Spidey/Peter Parker and Emma Stone as his love interest, Gwen Stacy:

The Amazing Spider-Man will be in theaters (2D and 3D) on July 3, 2012.
Brave and Men in Black III TV Spots
This summer, Pixar is boldly going where it has never gone before: into the realm of princess fairy tales. With Brave, the acclaimed animation studio hopes to explore such post-feminist ideas like gender roles, obligation, and the relationship between mother and daughter. Of course, given that the tale is set in the Celtic culture of Scotland, there will be plenty of opportunity to poke fun at things like kilts, which this latest Brave spot does in spades:
Men in Black III sees Will Smith back as Agent J, this time sent to the past to save his partner Agent K's younger self (Josh Brolin mimicking Tommy Lee Jones) from an assassination that leads to planetary conquest. If you saw our last Men in Black III clips, you have an idea about the lighthearted tone this film will strike. These latest TV spots continue that trend:
Men in Black III will be in (3D) theaters on May 25, 2012. Brave will be in theaters on June 22, 2012.
