WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home

A new fan-made poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 shows Venom and Shailene Woodley's MJ. In the weeks since Spider-Man: No Way Home was released, the demand for sequels to Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's films has been spreading across social media. This is due to their surprise involvement in the recently-released Spider-Man film, which has grossed over $1 billion. There were many memorable moments when it came to the continuation of their characters' journeys that left fans wanting more.

Amazing Spider-Man 3 was scrapped not long after the release of Garfield's second outing due to negative reviews and demand for the webslinger to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It would have picked up after Peter failed to save his girlfriend Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone, in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The canceled film was supposed to involve Paul Giamatti's Rhino character, who was teased in the second installment, in addition to Shailene Woodley's MJ, whose scenes had been deleted from the theatrical cut of the first sequel.

Rahal Nejraoui released a fan poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 on his Instagram page. It includes Shailene Woodley's MJ and Tom Hardy's Venom. In the center is Garfield's Spider-Man in all black, similar to Maguire's all-black costume from Spider-Man 3. Those familiar with the Maguire films know that the black suit was used when Parker had been possessed by Venom.

While Woodley was supposed to be featured in Garfield's third installment, Venom was not announced. This poster theorizes that a sequel could have Hardy's Venom and Garfield's Spider-Man exist in the same universe. Since The Amazing Spider-Man franchise ended before Venom was released, it's impossible to know if the two characters are actually in the same universe. This could happen if Sony decides to make The Amazing Spider-Man 3, especially since the end credits scene for Spider-Man: No Way Home showed Venom being transported back to his universe.

It is not impossible that Hardy's Venom and Garfield's Spider-Man are from the same universe. However, the films have given no indication that this is true. Considering Holland's Parker's relationship with Doctor Strange, Strange could have pulled a multiverse stunt to transport Venom into Garfield's universe. So many things happened in No Way Home that audiences thought were impossible within the Spider-Man franchise that it is hard to completely debunk any theory about what could happen in the future. Audiences will just have to wait and see if Sony decides to produce The Amazing Spider-Man 3.
