Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Spider-Man: No Way Home gave fans an exciting movie-going experience, but more importantly, it gave fans the opportunity to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield return as Peter Parker. The two former web-slingers joined Tom Holland's MCU superhero to the delight of fans worldwide, who have made the film one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.

Since their return, many online have been actively campaigning for Sony and Marvel to complete Garfield’s trilogy and produce The Amazing Spider-Man 3. The possibilities for a third installment are endless, but what do the audiences want to see? Fans have voiced their opinions on Reddit, and their desires are both expected and surprising.

More Of The Rhino Fight Scene

The final sequence viewers saw of Garfield’s Spider-Man before Spider-Man: No Way Home included him preparing to fight against Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Reddit user TheMovieKing94 wants Sony to “show us the ending of that Rhino fight” since the sequel film ended before any true combat was seen.

Dialogue from Garfield’s Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home hints that Spider-Man did win that fight and fans would love to see Spidey taking on the first criminal since the battle with Electro where he lost Gwen Stacy.

Answers About Peter's Parents

In The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel, Peter’s parents were teased to have a bigger role than they have had in any other live-action adaption of the web-slinging hero. Redditor AtarkaCommand wrote that Sony had “scenes in both films setting up something with his parents being spies” but there was never any resolution to this plot line. Peter and the audience deserved to know what happened to his parents after they left him with Uncle Ben and Aunt May and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 would be the perfect place to get these answers.

More Black Cat

Felicia Hardy holds a pen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Rogue One star Felicity Jones portrayed Felicia Hardy, otherwise known as Black Cat, in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and had very limited screen time in the film, driving fans to desire more. “Since [Black] Cat has never been used in live-action before,” writes Reddit user DGenerationMC, bringing her back in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 could serve as a refreshing change from some of the other characters that have been repeatedly introduced in the different Spider-Man franchises. There are a multitude of Black Cat storylines from the comics that Sony could pull from to make an outstanding movie as well.

The Sinister Six Together

The end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 left audiences with a tease of one of the most popular villainous groups and Redditor Infinity0044 “really liked the idea of Oscorp having a hand in creating the Sinister Six.” The line-up for Sony’s Sinister Six would have included Harry Osborn’s Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Vulture, and Rhino according to gear included in the alluding scene. Comic book fans of the Sinister Six have been eagerly waiting to see this team up on the screen for years, so following through on this initial set-up would be a must for The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Peter Coping Without Gwen

Reddit user TheMovieKing94 also wants a third installment to “reveal what Peter Parker [went] through after losing Gwen Stacy” in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter tells Tom Holland’s Peter Parker that he had “stopped pulling his punches” after losing Gwen, his MJ, implying that Peter got violent and possibly even murderous since his last solo movie.

Seeing this darker side of Peter processing his grief would captivate audiences and help them to understand the character and his choices on a deeper level. Watching the hero experience this type of pain and loss would also help audiences that have felt similar emotions resonate with the character more.

Meeting MJ In Grief Counseling

Part of the idea for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 included introducing Shailene Woodley as the beloved Mary Jane Watson. Reddit user sullensolider believes Sony should “keep the idea of meeting MJ in grief counseling” as was originally planned. Peter deserves to have a happy ending after all and meeting someone who can assist him after Gwen’s death would be extremely beneficial to him. It would also give Woodley the chance to shine as the character as all the scenes she filmed for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were scrapped in order to save MJ for a third installment.

The Chameleon Taunting Peter

Every superhero movie needs a strong villain for the protagonist to fight and Reddit user joeye44 wants The Amazing Spider-Man 3’s to be Chameleon, a Spider-Man villain that has yet to have a live-action adaption. In the comics, Dmitri Smerdyakov has the ability to take on the physical appearance of anyone whenever he wants.

This user wants to see “him wearing Gwen’s face to taunt Peter” as he adjusts to life without her. There’s no doubt that a fighting sequence between Spider-Man and Chameleon containing this moment would be heart-breaking for both Peter and the audience, but could easily further develop Peter’s character during his time of vulnerability.

Peter Mentoring Miles Morales

After the Miles Morales tease from Jamie Foxx’s Electro in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans are anxious to see Miles on the big screen as well. Reddit user NozakiMufasa thinks “throwing Miles into the Amazing universe would be neat.”

His introduction would give Peter Parker something to focus more positive energy on as he is dealing with the events of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and potentially Spider-Man: No Way Home. Serving as a mentor to a young Miles could be the perfect thing to give Peter a better sense of purpose after the confusing and troubling times he’s experienced.

Solving Mysteries With Eddie Brock

With the assumption that Tom Hardy’s Venom will interact with Spider-Man after the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, there are many who would love to see Eddie Brock meet Garfield’s Peter Parker. Redditor ThymeWayster thinks a “buddy-cop style movie” would be the best way to go about this as both actors have fantastic comedic, as proven through Garfield's funny quips as Spider-Man in his films and through Hardy's dialogue with the symbiotic in the Venom films, timing that would compliment each other well. Seeing the two actively trying to investigate a case while attempting to hide their alter egos from one another would make a memorable movie for sure.

Peter Fighting An Alien

Some fans are very particular about what to include in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 while others simply have an idea they would like to see incorporated so long as the third movie gets made. For example, Reddit user Escapist_person just believes that “Andrew deserves to fight an alien” after he voiced his desire to do so in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Whatever form this may take is up to Sony and Marvel, but a massive amount of viewers feel the need to have this included, anything to remind Peter that he’s just as amazing as Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire version’s Spider-Man.
