Like any great reality television series, season 32 of The Amazing Race features contestants from all walks of life. One of the most intriguing pairs, however, on this season's race around the world is Jerry and Frank Eaves, a father-son duo from Louisville, KY. In a season full of intense competitors, their life experiences suggest they have a lot of potential.

The Amazing Race has a way of testing even the tightest of bonds, but there is little reason to doubt the relationship between father Jerry and son Frank. The two describe their relationship as incredibly close, and only expect their time on The Amazing Race to bring them even closer together.

Jerry and Frank bring with them a lot of athletic experience. Jerry had an accomplished career as a college basketball player, winning the NCAA Tournament in 1980 with the Louisville Cardinals. He was drafted into the NBA by the Utah Jazz. He spent a total of four seasons in the NBA, also playing for the Atlanta Hawks and the Sacramento Kings. Jerry ultimately retired in 1987, but he has had an even more successful career as a basketball coach. He spent nine years as the head coach at North Carolina A&T University. Now, he is the head coach at Simmons College of Kentucky, an HBCU in Louisville. His leadership experience should prove crucial as he and his son continue through the race. Frank has plenty of athletic experience as well. He played college basketball at Appalachian State University from 2012-2015. Now, he works a luxury car salesman. Frank says he sells vehicles to several high-profile clients, including NBA players, NFL players, and recording artists.

Jerry and Frank have already lived exciting lives, but even their experiences cannot prepare them for the surprises of The Amazing Race. It seems, however, that they both possess the necessary charisma and adaptability to succeed in such a high-pressure environment. The father-son duo has made a name for themselves in the world of basketball, but a race around the world is a whole other story.

With a diverse cast of opponents competing alongside them, Jerry and Frank will have their hands full. Still, the father-son duo will be a hard team to root against during season 32 of The Amazing Race airs Wednesday nights at 9pm EST.
