The brothers are known for their disturbing relationship and inbreeding practices, and throughout It's Always Sunny, audiences have met a huge swathe of the McPoyle family tree. However, the pair that started it all have not appeared in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia since season 9. The McPoyle brothers first appeared in Sunny season 1, episode 7, "Charlie Got Molested," and subsequently appeared sporadically throughout seasons two to nine.
