Amanda Bynes will make a public appearance when she reunites with her All That costars at an upcoming convention. All That was a Saturday Night Live-esque sketch show for kids when it first came out in 1994. With wacky characters and situations, performed predominantly by teenagers, and aimed at kids and teens, the show was a hit for Nickelodeon and launched the careers of several stars. A newcomer at the time, Bynes made her debut on All That in 1996 when she was only 10 years old. The actress continued to reoccur in the series until 2002.

Bynes will rejoin her former All That castmates in a March convention, according to Variety. This will be at the 90’s CON celebration, which will be held from March 17-19 in Hartford, Connecticut. In addition to Bynes, All That stars in attendance will include Lori Beth Denberg, Danny Tamberelli, and Kel Mitchell.

Could An All That Reboot Happen?

Amanda Bynes In Easy A

With some of the 90s cast’s major stars reunited, talk of an All That reboot is sure to surface in the wake of their appearance. All That already sparked a mini-revival after the end of its main ten-season run. This revival ran from 2019 to 2020 and featured a new cast of teens. Because of the nature of the show being performed by and marketed for kids, an All That reboot would likely mean a whole new slew of talent as the cast. Still, some sort of reflective reunion special akin to the Friends reunion is certainly not out of the question depending on the interest of the cast.

This makes All That’s reboot potential sufficiently challenging for Nickelodeon. Besides pooling from child actors on their existing shows, new seasons of All That could not necessarily draw in audiences who were attached to recurring actors as it did in its 90s heyday when the cast featured the comedic stylings of Bynes, Nick Cannon, and Kenan Thompson. Bynes and her co-stars could appear in cameo “adult” roles, though that would probably do very little for the child audience that an All That reboot would likely target.

Why Amanda Bynes’s Convention Appearance is Significant

Amanda Bynes

Regardless of All That’s revival potential, Bynes’s appearance on the March panel is still significant in the actress's public life. Though she made a splash as a child star in both All That and The Amanda Show, Bynes’s reputation has predominantly been tainted by alleged psychiatric issues in 2013 that lead to her parents petitioning for a conservatorship. The Bynes parents' conservatorship over Amanda Bynes began in 2014, lifting just last year in 2022. The All That convention appearance will mark Bynes’ first major public appearance since the end of her conservatorship.
