In God of War: Ragnarok, Niflheim has only one Nornir Chest located in an abandoned Aesir prison. All players see of Niflheim for a while is the Raven Tree, where the spirits of Odin’s Ravens haunt the branches after being freed. The other major thing that the realm houses is a practice ring, where enemies that have been fought in the past are recreated to face off against Kratos.

After beating God of War: Ragnarok's main story, a bridge is created, veering left off of the path on the way to the Raven Tree. This is how the player can get to the Aesir Prison Wreckage, where the Niflheim Nornir chest is. Navigating through the prison, the player has to utilize the Draupnir Spear to move across the main elevator shaft. The chest is on the second floor, but the player will have to use a breakable wall on the third floor to get to it.

Finding All The Chests Located In Niflheim In God Of War: Ragnarök

Atreus and Kratos at the Raven Tree

There are three seals to break in order to open the chest, each located on a different floor of the prison. One of them is near the chest, one is behind a closed cell gate on the third floor (there is an enemy to kill inside), and the last is easily visible in the snow on the fourth floor. Of all the Nornir treasure chests in God of War: Ragnarok, this one may be the least difficult. Once all the seals have been found and broken, the chest will be unlocked for the player to take its contents.

To achieve 100% completion of God of War: Ragnarok, the Aesir Prison Wreckage has to be explored and completed. Much like unlocking the second half of the Alfheim map, discovering things in Niflheim is a fun surprise for players who don’t expect it. The practice ring is fun and great for XP and weapons testing, but it isn’t necessary to complete quests. Until the wreckage is revealed, it seems like the most exciting thing to do in God of War: Ragnarok’s Niflheim is locating Odin’s Ravens. Finding the Nornir treasure chest located in Niflheim is not complicated but requires players to finish the main story. The puzzle itself isn't complicated to solve, but it could be easily overlooked if players aren’t careful.
