Thanks to an extended role in season 2 of Euphoria, everyone seemed to be talking about Maude Apatow over the past few months. It is certainly her most prominent part to date but the talented young actor has been working since she was literally just a child.

As the daughter of filmmaker Judd Apatow and actor Leslie Mann, she was born into the industry. Still, she doesn't have a long filmography, appearing in 10 movies and TV shows not counting short films or deleted scenes. She has made sure to make an impact, as most of her roles are in well-received projects.

Most people know Sam Levinson as the mind behind Euphoria but he's got some other notable works under his belt. After a 2011 directorial debut, he helmed his second film in 2018, Assassination Nation, which has some similar vibes to his HBO series.

The film focuses on a small town that descends into violence and chaos when everyone's secrets get leaked to the public. Apatow has a small but pivotal role as Grace, who bashes the head in of another girl (Bella Thorne) who showed her nudes to her boyfriend.

The House of Tomorrow is an indie movie that does a great job of blending impressive young actors with veterans who have been in dozens of roles. Maude Apatow is joined by lead actor Asa Butterfield and Alex Wolff as the young stars alongside Nick Offerman, Ellen Burstyn, and more.

The premise of The House of Tomorrow, based on a novel of the same name, sees Sebastian (Butterfield) branch out from his isolated life when he meets a rocker named Jared (Wolff) and his sister Meredith (Apatow). Reviews found that this didn't bring anything new to the genre but was still an endearing tale.

This Is 40 (2012) - 6.2

Maude and her sister Iris have had the pleasure of working with their parents on multiple occasions. It happened in This is 40, which stars Leslie Mann and is directed by Judd Apatow, with Maude and Iris playing the daughters of Mann's character.

A sequel spin-off of Knocked Up, this story picks up five years later as Debbie (Mann) and Pete (Paul Rudd) struggle with their relationship around Debbie's 40th birthday. Maude Apatow reprises her role as Sadie but gets to add teen angst to it, which leads to some hilarious scenes.

Funny People (2009) - 6.3

The second collaboration that Maude Apatow had with her parents came in 2009's Funny People. Again directed by Judd Apatow, Funny People is a comedy-drama that centers on a comedian (Adam Sandler) who tries to mend fences with those close to him after getting diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Mann portrays Laura, the ex-wife of Sandler's character, while Maude Apatow joins a great supporting cast as Mable. That supporting cast includes Seth Rogen, Aubrey Plaza, Eric Bana, and more. Although some complained about the film's length, reviews were positive.

Other People (2016) - 6.8

Another indie film on Maude Apatow's resume, Other People is led by the talented duo of Jesse Plemons and Molly Shannon. The focus is on David (Plemons), a struggling comedian coming off of a breakup who returns home to care for his dying mother (Shannon).

Like Funny People, this has comedic elements to it but is also heavy on emotional drama. Apatow portrays Alexandra, David's younger sister, and is given some good material to work with. Reviews were strong, especially when it comes to the performances of the two leads.

Most people got their first look at Maude Apatow in Knocked Up. It was her on-screen debut since her scenes in The 40-Year-Old Virgin were ultimately left on the cutting room floor. Here, she plays Sadie for the first time.

Set five years before This is 40, Apatow was very young here, which played into her scenes as she often got to have adorable reactions to the outlandish things that her family was doing. The movie focuses on Sadie's aunt Alison (Katherine Heigl) as she becomes pregnant after a one-night stand with a slacker (Seth Rogen).

The King Of Staten Island (2020) - 7.1

Once again working with her father, Maude Apatow had an impressive supporting role in The King of Staten Island. Loosely based on Pete Davidson's life, he stars as Scott, a young man who struggles to get his life together years after his father dies fighting a fire.

Maude Apatow plays Scott's younger sister Claire and she gets some of the best scenes in the film. Though she's younger than Scott, she often acts as the adult and the voice of reason. You can really see the improvement and growth in Apatow as a performer here.

The first television series that Maude Apatow appeared in was HBO's Girls. The show was a hit in the early 2010s, helping to launch the careers of Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver, Allison Williams, and several others.

Created by and starring Lena Dunham, the show centers on the lives of four female friends living life in New York City. Reviews were strong for the most part, especially for the realistic characters who weren't always likable. Apatow shows up in three episodes as Cleo.

Hollywood (2020) - 7.5

At some point, it seems like almost every young actor works in a Ryan Murphy show. For Maude Apatow, that happened in Hollywood, a Netflix original miniseries that focuses on a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers trying to make it big during the late '40s.

Joining a cast that includes Darren Criss, Laura Harrier, Samara Weaving, Jim Parsons, and many more, Maude Apatow plays Henrietta Castello, the pregnant wife of Jack (David Corenswet), the show's protagonist. She only appears in about half of the episodes and while the role isn't big, she shines.

Maude Apatow's biggest role is that of Lexi Howard on one of the most popular shows currently airing, Euphoria. It follows a group of teens as they deal with relationships, sexuality, addiction, trauma, and so much more. Throw in an intriguing aesthetic, a stellar soundtrack, and tremendous performances and you can see why the show works.

Lexi is the best friend of protagonist Rue (Zendaya) and sister of Cassie (Sydney Sweeney). In season 1, Lexi was a background player but fans liked her and wanted more. Season 2 gave her that platform, as she grew as a character who put on a memorable play and was a highlight of the season.
