Fans of Siesta Key have been speculating since April that the MTV reality series might be moving to Miami for season 5. The first season of the series aired in 2017, and introduced stars like Juliette Porter and Kelsey Owens to the world. Back then, the show was mainly based around Alex Kompothecras and his playboy ways. He had a hard time choosing between Juliette, Kelsey, Madisson Hausberg, and all the women that he hooked up with offscreen. While his father remains a producer on the series, Alex was kicked off Siesta Key in 2020, when his racist social media posts resurfaced online.

After Alex left Siesta Key, Juliette took over as the main star. She had a tumultuous on and off again relationship with Alex, and the cycle didn't end until he got his current girlfriend Alyssa Salerno pregnant. Juliette went on to date Bachelor in Paradise star Robby Hayes, followed by Florida billionaire Sam Logan. However, both relationships ended, and Juliette is now with a Miami-based realtor, Clark Drum.

The cast members have matured a lot since the show first premiered. The stars were barely out of high school in 2017, and still had a lot to learn about themselves and their futures. While Juliette and Kelsey aren't friends, they're no longer fighting over boys or making Alex such a big part of their lives. Instead, Juliette is running her successful swimsuit line JMP The Label, and Kelsey is in a happy relationship with Max Strong. The switch from petty relationship drama to career goals, along with some telling social media posts, seemingly proves that Siesta Key has moved to Miami.

Brandon's Miami Tweet

As with much of the Siesta Key drama, the chaos started with Brandon Gomes. Brandon tweeted on April 13 that he was moving to the Florida city, and fans immediately assumed that the show was moving there too. Their theories only grew when Brandon's co-stars Madisson and Chloe Trautman responded, hinting that they were also moving to Miami. The tweet has a plethora of curious fan responses, but the star has not confirmed any of the theories. Brandon shares two-year-old son Quincy with Delainey Shae, and it will be interesting to see how he balances co-parenting in a new city.

JMP The Label Takes Miami

JMP The Label has become a massive success, earning Juliette a spot in Forbes. Her designs have also appeared in Sports Illustrated. The star first shared that she was open to moving to Miami on the Chicks in the Office podcast, and mentioned the opportunities for JMP The Label in Miami on season 4B of Siesta KeyJuliette later admitted in a fan video on Cameo that she was in the process of moving from Siesta Key to Miami. It now appears that Juliette is living in the city with her castmate, Lexie Salameh.

Sam & Jordana's Miami Move

Of all the Siesta Key cast members, Sam and Jordana Barnes have given fans the closest inside look at their lives. The friends started living together while still in Siesta Key, but towards the end of season 4B, Sam told Jordana that he was selling his house. According to their Instagram profiles, the two now live in Miami together.

Cara & Meghan Filming In Miami

Siesta Key Cara Geswelli And Meghan Biscoff

The most telling evidence has to be when a fan spotted Siesta Key stars Cara Geswelli and Miami-based model Meghan Biscoff filming an episode of the show in the Florida city. Before the fan posted a photo with the stars, Cara shared on her Instagram story that she was en route to Miami. While the stars could have been filming a scene in the city even though the main show is still set in their hometown, when the other evidence is considered, it seems like Siesta Key has definitely moved to another city.

Siesta Key has been a hit since it premiered five years ago, but as with all great things, it needed to evolve at some point. After losing cast members Garrett Miller and Camilla Cataneo, the show is definitely headed in a new direction. The series seems to be following in the footsteps of MTV's The Hills, which followed Lauren Conrad from her time on Laguna Beach to her life in L.A. Luckily for MTV, The Hills far exceeded the popularity of its predecessor, and if Siesta Key is lucky, the same will happen for them.
