Layla Keating's move in All American season 4 could set up a romance between her and Jordan Baker. The majority of The CW's football drama based on Spencer Paysinger's pre-NFL career follows Spencer James, but the series has continued to flesh out its supporting characters over time. All American season 4 does so by building on many of their relationships, and it might be starting to tease how a romance between Layla and Jordan can form.

Layla and Jordan have known each other since childhood, but All American season 4, episode 1, shows how their friendship is starting to grow. The episode features a prominent storyline revolving around Layla, which builds on the cliffhanger from All American season 3's ending where she left with Carrie. It's revealed that Layla helped stop Carrie from committing suicide, but this helps Layla realize that she doesn't feel safe living with her father. While Layla keeps most of these emotions to herself at first, it is only after speaking to Jordan that the truth comes out, and she realizes what she must do. This meant moving out of her father's house, with the Baker family agreeing that she could live with them instead.

Now that Layla and Jordan are living together, this could be an early step All American takes to make the two of them form a romance in season 4. They'll see a lot more of each other thanks to Layla's new living arrangements. This could bring them to confide in each other even more about whatever challenges life throws their way in All American season 4. Layla's mental health and Jordan's recent reckless activities when it came to his post-concussion training could even bring them closer together. As this happens, it won't be surprising if Layla and Jordan develop feelings for one another and start All American's latest romance.

Plenty of All American fans have long wondered if a Layla and Jordan romance was in the cards, and the show may be finally moving them in that direction. Layla hasn't been in a relationship since she and Spencer broke up in season 3, as Carrie was quite possessive of who she was around. A romance with Layla is a bit more complicated for Jordan at the moment, though. He's still dating Simone even though they called off their wedding. However, Simone's All American spinoff and the likelihood that she'll get a new romantic interest there means Jordan should become single sometime soon. Hopefully, if the romance does happen, Layla and Jordan don't act on their feelings until that breakup is official.

Not only would a Layla and Jordan romance make sense for each of them, but it would also be a massive development for All American season 4 that would create plenty of drama. Layla is Spencer's ex and Olivia's best friend, while Jordan is Olivia's brother and one of Spencer's best friends. The tension that this could cause for these main characters is why All American season 4 could go the romance route for Layla and Jordan. Now viewers will have to wait and see if it develops.
