The All American season 3 finale ends with Coop and Mo both being shot, but did either of them die? The third season of The CW's football drama based on Spencer Paysinger's pre-NFL career was filled with big moments for each of the main characters. All of them came to a head in the season finale, where South Crenshaw and New Beverly prepared to face off in the state championship.

One of the many season-long storylines that reached its conclusion in the finale was between Coop and Mo. Viewers saw Mo return to Crenshaw at the end of season 2 and vow to get revenge on Coop for the role she played in her brother's death. However, Mo spent most of season 3 taking things slow and helping the people of Crenshaw in an effort to convince Coop that she was not a threat. All American season 3's ending proved that this wasn't the case when Mo set her final plan into motion, which included hiding drugs on Coop's tour bus and calling the cops so she'd go to jail. Coop figured out this plan, though, and got the drugs off her bus. She then went to Mo's house to gloat about this, which led to Mo pulling a gun on her.

By the time All American season 3 ended, both Mo and Coop were shot. Mo fired her gun at Coop, but Preach was nearby and shot Mo too. While he initially went to see Mo, Preach turned his attention towards Coop after she called for him and revealed that she was shot too. Mo is shown laying by herself on the ground after suffering the gunshot wound to the chest, so her fate does not look good. Meanwhile, Preach holds Coop on the ground as she tries to apply pressure to her wound to slow the bleeding. Even though the finale doesn't explicitly confirm whether Coop or Mo died, the odds of survival are much higher for Coop based on what is shown and their respective roles in the show.

Coop has been an integral part of the show and only just repaired her friendship with Spencer. Coop's death would dramatically change the makeup of All American season 4 and beyond. It would also be somewhat strange for the show to kill her like this, leaving fans with a cliffhanger over her fate only to confirm she dies at the start of next season. If Coop is going to die, the finale could've made a bigger impact by making that clear. As for Mo, she has served her purpose as a threat to Coop. Her dying gives All American a clean start for Coop's future storylines.

Although there is some ambiguity for Coop and Mo about their futures, All American season 4 should confirm both of their fates early on. The most likely scenario is that Mo does die but Coop manages to pull through. There has already been speculation from fans that the gunshot wound to her chest could impact her music career. As crushing of a blow as that would be to Coop as she was just about to go on tour, it would give All American a brand new type of story to tell with her.
