The CW's All American universe expands with a Simone-focused spinoff, and here's a guide to the cast and characters of All American: Homecoming. The original football drama based on Spencer Paysinger's pre-NFL career has become an incredibly popular series for The CW, as a wider continues to find it on Netflix. In addition to making All American season 4, the network also began developing a spinoff for Simone Hicks. Geffri Maya's character joined the show in season 2 and the Homecoming spinoff was set up with a backdoor pilot in season 3.
Since Simone's introduction in All American season 2, she's been an integral part of Jordan Baker's story. This included thinking he was the father of her baby, which led to them starting a relationship that continued even after the truth came out. Simone has still only been a supporting character in All American, although her excellent tennis abilities and desire to be a positive voice within the Black community have come to be defining parts of her story. This is on top of her ongoing relationship with Jordan, but All American season 3 began setting up her future away from her friends, family, and life in Beverly Hills.

Geffri Maya as Simone Hicks
Simone Hicks is at the center of All American: Homecoming, with Geffri Maya returning to play her role. The All American spinoff sees Simone go to Bringston University for a chance to attend a Historic Black College University, where she's attempting to make it back on the tennis team. It isn't an easy transition for Simone as she misses her life in Beverly and is challenged in various ways upon her arrival at Bringston, including her parents not paying for room and board. In addition to being part of the All American universe, viewers might recognize Geffri Maya from her time on Black-ish and Snowfall.
Peyton Alex Smith as Damon Sims
The male lead of the All American spin-off Homecoming is Damon Sims, played by Peyton Alex Smith. He is an elite baseball prospect from Chicago who turned down a shot to play professionally to help Bringston's baseball program regain prominence. However, Damon also has a little-known connection to the HBCU, as his birth parents attended the university before giving him up for adoption. As he attempts to prove he made the right decision for his baseball career, Damon is also searching for answers about his birth family. Peyton Alex Smith did appear in All American: Homecoming's backdoor pilot, but viewers also might recognize him from his recurring role on Legacies as Rafael Waithe.
Cory Hardrict as Coach Marcus Turner
Cory Hardrict is also set to play a major role in All American: Homecoming, as he returns as Marcus Turner. The former assistant coach for Bringston's baseball team finds himself learning how to be a head coach in the series after the previous coach was fired for an academic scandal. Marcus is a former professional baseball player who had his career ended by an injury. He's now attempting to keep Bringston's baseball program relevant so the school can't cut its funding. Viewers could recognize Cory Hardrict from any number of projects, such as The Chi, All Eyez on Me, and American Sniper.
Kelly Jenrette as Amara Patterson
All American: Homecoming will also give Kelly Jenrette a prominent role as Amara Patterson. She is Simone's aunt and a journalism teacher at Bringston University. Amara is responsible for revealing the truth about Bringston's former baseball coach and the academic scandal. While she's always supportive of Simone, she also finds herself in a bit of trouble in the spinoff due to her prior report. Viewers might recognize Kelly Jenrette from her roles in Mixed-ish and Grandfathered.
Michael Evans Behling as Jordan Baker
The All American: Homecoming cast also includes the return of Michael Evans Behling as Jordan Baker. He is one of the main characters of All American, and his appearance in the spinoff is not too surprising considering Jordan and Simone's relationship. Since Jordan is still heavily involved with the original show, it seems All American: Homecoming will mix Behling into the show using FaceTime primarily, although physical appearances by the actor can still happen. Camille Hyde as Thea Mays - Thea Mays is Simone's biggest tennis rival at Bringston who wants to proudly represent the Black community in athletics. Camille Hyde previously appeared on American Vandal and played the Pink Dino Charge Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Charge.
Rhoyle Ivy King as Nathaniel - Nathaniel is a loyal friend to Simone at Bringston who always watches out for her. Rhoyle Ivy King has made multiple uncredited appearances in TV shows, including Pose.
Mitchell Edwards as Cam Watkins - Cam Watkins is Spencer James' former rival and an excellent football player. Mitchell Edwards reprises his role from All American, but viewers might also know him from Spinning Out.
John Marshall Jones as Leonard Shaw - Leonard Shaw is the former Bringston baseball coach who finds a new job at a rival school. John Marshall Jones has previously appeared in For All Mankind, Big Little Lies, and Bosch.
