Hasbro Pulse has revealed the first images of their upcoming Aliens Nerf M41-A Pulse Blaster. In 1986, director James Cameron took on the task of directing a sequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi classic, Alien. Opting for a more action-heavy tone, Cameron brought back star Sigourney Weaver for the now-classic film to play the lead, Ripley, while introducing the Colonial Marines (who continue to be explored in comics and video games), who were essentially a space-traveling military. With that crew came the introduction of a lot of new hardware, from ships to vehicles to power loaders and weapons.

Joining Weaver in the sci-fi sequel was Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen and Paul Reiser. The movie found Ripley and the crew heading to a planet called LV-426, which housed a human colony that had been overrun by acid-for-blood xenomorphs. After airdropping onto the planet and securing the colony, the Marines found that all but one of the colonists had been killed. Soon after, they are forced to fight for their lives against the xenomorphs and Ripley is eventually handed an M41-A Pulse Rifle to defend herself, which she quickly takes to, using it to help rescue a small girl and evacuate the planet.

Now, movie fans can recreate the battles in Aliens with Hasbro Pulse's NERF LMTD Aliens M41-A Pulse Blaster, for which they have just released the first photos. The gun features a number of attributes of the weapon as seen in the movie. Despite the overall aesthetic (with "power-loader" inspired design), the gun features a 10-round dart magazine, a digital dart counter, movie-accurate blasting sounds, and the ability to switch between fully-motorized fly-wheel Elite or pump-action Mega dart blasting (which simulates the grenade launcher ability of the gun in the film). The gun also comes in a premium display packaging with movie-themed details throughout. Take a look at the images to get a better look below:

Aliens collectibles have been making the rounds in the last few years with multiple licenses going to various companies, including an exclusive line at Wal-Mart and specialty figures by NECA. Even Funko has gotten in on the action with recreations of xenomorphs and Ripley, including a GameStop Exclusive Ripley in Power Loader figure. The last time the xenomorphs were seen on the big screen was in 2017's Alien: Covenant, but the recent announcement of an Alien show on F/X spearheaded by Noah Hawley set to release sometime in 2023, is sure to renew interest and possibly spawn more collectibles down the road.

For Aliens fans who have grown up dreaming about owning their very own M41-A Pulse Rifle, this is about as close as it gets. The level of detail and nostalgic value in such a toy is sure to bring a smile to the faces of many fans, young and old. There are certainly other sci-fi weapons that Hasbro and Nerf could bring to life from the Alien franchise, including the M56 Smartgun, but no one should hold their breath for a full-size power loader just yet.
