Alex Stewart is doing the paradise god's work as the Love Island USA season 1 runner-up gave fans all the behind-the-scenes secrets they wanted to know in a recent video. Alex joined Love Island during the series' first American season when the show was airing on CBS. At the time, actress Arielle Vandenberg was hosting the reality dating series and television host Matthew Hoffman was narrating. For season 4, the show switched things up, changing its network to NBC's streaming service, Peacock, and bringing in Modern Family star Sarah Hyland to host. The show also borrowed Love Island UK's narrator, Scottish comedian Iain Stirling, taking Matthew's place.

When Alex arrived on the island, she coupled up with contestant Michael Yi, but by day 6, she was drawn to Long Island native Dylan Curry. Her relationship with the new bombshell islander meant Michael was dumped from the villa. Luckily, Alex's decision paid off as she made it all the way to the season finale and came in second place, beat by Love Island USA couple Elizabeth Weber and Zac Mirabelli. Luckily, there are no hard feelings between Alex and Elizabeth, and the two have been hosting the podcast After The Island together since summer 2020. Recently they've been recapping season 4 and inviting on some eliminated islanders like Valerie Bragg and Tyler Radziszewski.

The former islander is offering more than just Love Island USA recaps as she recently let fans in on some secrets from the villa that they wouldn't know just by watching the show. Alex posted a video on TikTok where she answered some of the top questions she gets from fans about her experience on season 1 of Love Island USA. A big question fans have about the show are the phones that islanders carry around the villa, and according to Alex, islanders "do not know the date or time. All the phones have different dates and times on them." Contestants on Love Island USA almost always have a glass of wine in their hands, and Alex revealed that the wine comes from "a magic cabinet." The contestant says producers tell them when to go get a glass of wine, sometimes allowing them two.

Most shocking is that there are no camera people visible to the islanders in the villa. Likely to make islanders forget they're being recorded, so they'll be more vulnerable, cameras are hung around the villa, and cameramen only come out during dance scenes and one one-on-one dates. As for villa meals, Alex says, "we only have to make breakfast. Lunch and dinner are catered." If Love Island USA contestants were hoping for a romantic meal with their partner, they'll have to wait for their one-on-one date as Alex revealed that female and male islanders have to eat separately. According to Alex, they eat with chaperones and can't talk to each other "because they don't want the plotline to go any further, and they won't film us eating because it's not attractive."

While Love Island USA fans likely have thousands more questions about the show and Alex will have to make more videos like the one she posted, she offered some insightful secrets. It's hard to imagine the islanders eating in silence, especially when they have so much to say to each other when the cameras are rolling. It's also scary to think there are cameras they can't see watching them 24/7, picking up every whisper and secret kiss. Hopefully, Alex can reveal some more secrets about her experience on Love Island USA because fans are eating up her video as it nears one million likes.
