For fans who have watched the show since its inception, it was a bit shocking that anyone who was not familiar with this type of extreme lifestyle would want to give everything up and move to a mountain top. But Noah, Gabe, and Bear all found women who were happy to birth children out in the wilderness. Bear is the most extreme and The Sun recently gave an update on the couple.

Fans will recall that Bear and Raven were engaged for only two weeks before calling it off.  The couple first met at his brother’s wedding in 2018 where Raiven’s mother was the photographer and she was her assistant. While the family is usually very private, the couple decided to announce their courtship in August of 2019. There was never a reason given for the breakup up just that they wanted to go their separate ways. Raiven did post to social media at the time telling fans, “It’s been a long battle for me to decide what I should do. What I should say... I think this life is too much for me and due to that, and several other reasons me and bear have decided to stay friends.”

Since their breakup, the two have become embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their son, River. Raiven has tried to keep their son away from Bear for months. The reality TV star was just allowed to meet him six months after the birth. Raiven has claimed that she was mentally abused and that Bear was unreachable during the delivery. Fans feel for the mountain man since he has adamantly denied any wrongdoing. The season premiered showed Bear telling cameras that he just wanted to be a good father.
