Fans are excited to hear that Alaskan Bush People season 14 is here but were not prepared to see Bird Brown go through a major health scare. The 27-year-old is as tough as they come, thanks to being raised in the wilds of Alaska. Unfortunately, this season is going to show Bird having to make some tough decisions about her future.

During Sunday's Alaskan Bush People season 14 premiere episode, fans were made aware that Bird is severely sick. The episode revealed Bird had been hiding abdominal pain from her family for weeks. Finally, after being persuaded by her sister, Rain Brown, the oldest daughter took herself to the hospital. The Instagram account for the show, @Alaskanbushppl, shared photos of Bird's journey in the hospital after she was given life-changing news. The doctors had called her after getting her MRI results to share that she had two cystic tumors.

Bird shared with her followers that she was told she had a borderline tumor, which meant it hadn't crossed into cancer yet but could turn it at any point. There were two tumors on her ovaries; one weighed eight pounds and the other four pounds. Both tumors were pushing on her organs, and ABP's Bird, who doesn't have social media, had no other choice but to go under the knife to have them removed. The surgeons left her ovaries intact but had to take out her appendix and abdominal ball. Sadly, her doctors shared that the chance of her tumors returning was higher than 50%.

Bird received her treatment at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. The oldest daughter of Billy and Ami Brown was under the care of Dr. Renata Urban, who specializes in gynecologic oncology, which includes the treatment of women with ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vaginal cancer. As Dr. Urban came in for a post-surgery update, Bird was told some heartbreaking news. According to the surgeon, her cancer risk remains high if she doesn't get a hysterectomy, which means she can never conceive children. Bird, who left the ABP home, has now been left to make the hardest decision of her life; to not get the hysterectomy so she can have kids and risk getting cancer or get the hysterectomy and not conceive children.

The entire Alaskan Bush People cast is worried for Bird. Her older brothers, Bam, Bear, Gabe, and Noah Brown, all shared stories of Bird from their childhood. Bird's mother, Ami, stayed by her bedside in hopes of bringing her strength. Little sister Rain told the cameras that she couldn't fathom losing her big sister and was happy she had made it through the procedure. Currently, Bird is on the mend and has yet to make a decision.
