Bear Brown recently spoke with Screen Rant about his current relationship with his older brother, Matt Brown, and what fans can expect for the rest of Alaskan Bush People season 13. The self-proclaimed "king of extreme," and the rest of the Wolf Pack, have had a rough year, given the Palmer Wildfires that devastated their mountain homestead and the tragic loss of their patriarch, Billy Brown. Luckily, Bear has been keeping his head up as he and the rest of his siblings continue to move forward. They want to fulfill Billy's dream for his family by living off of the land.

Through the years, fans came to know Bear as a tree-climbing, adventurous soul. He's also the unofficial spokesperson of the family, at least in the sense that he keeps fans up to date on family news via social media. He was the first to announce their father's death. He also recently became a father himself in March 2020, when he welcomed his son, River Anthony. Bear and Raiven Adams are once again trying to make their relationship work. Even though the last few months have been hard on the family, Bear is trying to keep a positive attitude.

Bear shared some of those thoughts with Screen Rant, opening up about the state of his relationship with Matt and what he's looking forward to sharing with fans this season. As most fans are aware, Matt currently lives and works on a farm in Loomis, WA, which is a stone's throw away from where the rest of the Browns reside. Matt has been open about his struggle with substance abuse and recently spoke out against the show. Back in May, Matt took to his social media and claimed that his parents and the Discovery production crew gave him hard drugs, which is how his addiction began. Since then, the rest of the Browns have reportedly kept their distance. In a conversation with Screen Rant, Bear stated that he wished Matt "all the best" and hopes that his brother finds "what he's looking for in life."

As for how the new season was going, Bear, whose love life gets a lot of press, shared that he felt it was going well: "as good as can be expected with the recent tragedies my family has been facing this year. One thing everyone will get to see is us finally starting to furnish my mom's house on the mountain! And get her forever home steps from her moving in!" There have been a lot of naysayers since the show's return, with some viewers calling the show out for being scripted. Bear was shocked to hear that some viewers don't believe the show is an accurate portrayal, saying, "Fake, people still say that? You would think after seeing so many hardships and how our real-life problems alter the entire direction of the show that it's pretty obvious how real it is. If anyone is still in denial and just can't accept the truth, all I have to say is, 'what is hard to believe?"

So far this Alaskan Bush People season, fans have watched the last few weeks of Billy's life, and his plans for North Star Ranch. The entire Wolf Pack has rallied together to make sure his mission is completed and Alaskan Bush People viewers (the ones who believe it's real, at least) hope Bear and the rest of the Brown family can find some solace in knowing that they are carrying on with Billy's legacy.
