But if they were were to enter the world of Harry Potter, what Hogwarts houses would the characters be in? Well, within this list we will take a look at their personalities and characteristics and reveal which houses the would be.

Hufflepuff: Magic Carpet

The Magic Carpet might not talk at any point, but the personality of this character shines. A Hufflepuff is known to be incredibly loyal and hard-working, and as soon as the Magic Carpet appears, he shows all of those traits and more.

It is there for Aladdin and puts itself at an immense risk before they have even developed a real relationship. Hufflepuff's might be loyal, but they don't do that for everyone, only those of which they trust and believe are kind and generous people, and the Magic Carpet's judgment of character is incredible.

Slytherin: Razoul

Razoul is a member of the Royal Guards in Aladdin and is actually the Captain of the Sultan's army, although he tends to listen more to Jafar. He is physically very impressive and had a real hatred for Aladdin, who he affectionately names "Street Rat."

Slytherin's are highly-skilled individuals and there certainly is a reason why Razoul is the Captain of the Royal Guards; because he's the best. While his judgment can be clouded, and he is power-hungry, he is also determined to do his job to perfection, which is another trait that Slytherin's have.

Gryffindor: The Sultan

The Sultan is one of the supporting characters throughout Aladdin and he is someone who is very kind-hearted. He always thinks of his people and most certainly his daughter, even if he is easily led astray. The Sultan is someone who is quite stubborn, which is why it takes him so long to actually listen to his daughter.

However, he is also very honest and blunt with his opinions on people and doesn't really hold things back. But while he isn't always firmly focused on the task at hand, as his mind wanders with ease, he is truly kind at heart, which is the key.

Ravenclaw: Iago

Many people might instantly lump Iago into the Slytherin house simply because he spends his time with Jafar, but the fact is he is a much kinder and nicer person than his master. He is simply dragged along for the ride, but he certainly proves himself to be useful during Jafar's plans.

When it comes to finding a house for the bird, Ravenclaw seems like the most viable option for him. Iago is curious, and someone who is very witty and wise. He is incredibly observant, even when people aren't expecting it as well, which is another trait of this underrated house.

Gryffindor: Abu

While there would have to be some rule-bending to allow a monkey to be part of the Gryffindor house, there is no doubt that is the house this mischievous monkey belongs to. Gryffindor's are well-known for being incredibly loyal people, and few characters in the Aladdin movie display that characteristic better than Abu does.

He is there with Aladdin every step of the way and doesn't discriminate. He sticks with his best friend when he's poor and when he's a prince. He also just so happens to be incredibly brave, perhaps something that he learns from the man he spends all of his time with.

Hufflepuff: Princess Jasmine

Princess Jasmine

Princess Jasmine is one of the most beloved Disney Princesses of all time, and one of the big reasons for that is because she is happy to stand up for herself. She doesn't need rescuing, she is strong, determined, and passionate about achieving what she wants.

This is also why she would be a perfect Hufflepuff. Those who end up in this house are hard-working and loyal, but also very compassionate and kind. Princess Jasmine is all of those things and more, wanting to do right by her people and not being satisfied living a simple and rich life, which is why she is so relatable.

Slytherin: Jafar

When it comes to Disney villains, few of them are as vile and full of hatred as Jafar, which is why he is such a popular character. Even though fans love to hate him, he certainly is memorable. Jafar would fit into the Slytherin household perfectly, and not just because he is a villain in the movie.

Slytherin's are known for being ambitious, driven, and incredibly skilled. Many of the most talented wizards end up in this house, and while Jafar doesn't use his abilities for the greater good, there is no denying that he is incredibly talented. He also certainly spends all of his time focused on just one goal, becoming the Sultan.

Hufflepuff: Rajah

Rajah is only a supporting character that appears a few times throughout the film, but he is certainly an incredibly loyal and caring character. Everything he does is with Princess Jasmine's best interests at heart and he always goes out of his way to be there for her.

Even though the characters of the Ravenclaw house aren't showcased too much throughout the Harry Potter movies, The Genie would certainly be in that house. Ravenclaw's are incredibly intelligent and curious, and there are few characters that are smarter in the Aladdin movie than him.

Ravenclaw's also happens to be incredibly creative, and there's no denying that The Genie has tons of that as well. He doesn't just perform magic when needed, but he does so in the most fun and wacky ways, which is what made him such a beloved character.

Gryffindor: Aladdin

Of course, there could be no doubt that Aladdin himself would end up as a member of the Gryffindor house. He is very similar to Harry Potter himself in many ways considering his love for adventure, to the point of putting himself into danger.

Aladdin is incredibly loyal, which he proves by keeping his third wish for the Genie's freedom, which is something none of his previous masters was able to do. Much like his pet, Aladdin is incredibly brave and has no problem putting up a fight against those who are stronger than him, which is why he became so beloved.
