Ray Stevenson teases a ton of mysteries surrounding his Ahsoka villain, Baylon. Ahsoka will feature the return of numerous characters, including the titular hero, the Ghost crew from Rebels, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Morgan Elsbeth. Stevenson's Baylon Skoll and Ivana Sakhno's Shin Hati are new characters, force-wielders who wield orange lightsabers.

Screen Rant caught up with Stevenson after the Star Wars Celebration Ahsoka panel. Stevenson teases intriguing mysteries surrounding his and Sakhno's characters. He evades details about the orange lightsaber but describes his character as a "catalyst" which will lead to an "effervescent spectacle." Check out Stevenson's breakdown of Baylon:

Ray Stevenson: Maybe he's unique; some catalyst that upsets the apple cart; that sparks off and fires, and yet is meandering through a journey that is colliding and causing reactions. These layers for an actor to be given... Do we really need to know yet? It's more about the journey, isn't it?

And they are sometimes like catalysts; they'e thrown into this thing as a catalyst, and the reaction that comes out is an effervescent spectacle. Or then there's another meandering of, "What's going on? What is their mission? Are they working for them? Not really." What's driving them is the exciting thing about playing this character. It's not one or the other.

When you see Baylon actually get to meet Thrawn, [you wonder] if it's the first time or last time. "What's going on again? Hang on, what's the dynamic here?" That's another thing that the fans will discover.

What We Know About Ahsoka's New Villains Shin And Baylon

Baylan and Shin in Ahsoka.

Not many details are known about these mysterious villains, although it has been revealed that they are working with Elsbeth. Stevenson also teases an eventual meeting between Baylon and Thrawn. Baylon and Shin use the dark side of the Force and seem to be extraordinarily powerful. The pair also wields lightsabers, but intriguingly, the blades are an orange color, which hasn't been established in Star Wars canon until this point.

One thing fans know for sure is that Baylon is a Fallen Jedi, and Shin is his protégé. There were reports that Shin may have ties to the Nightsisters, powerful magic users with a connection to the dark side of the Force. It is also possible that the orange lightsabers signify something new—neither Sith nor Jedi, but Dark Jedi. The Ahsoka trailer also seemed to show Baylon in the World Between Worlds fighting Ahsoka.

The World Between Worlds is a powerful realm that allows those who pass through it to travel through time. Ezra Bridger saved Ahsoka's life in the final season of Rebels by using this realm. Stevenson teases that all is not as it seems with these characters, and a potential connection with the World Between Worlds could be the perfect setup for an unexpectedly dangerous threat beyond Thrawn in Ahsoka.

Ahsoka debuts on Disney Plus in August of 2023.
