One last 'Road to 100' poster has been revealed, this time recapping the fifth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so far. Marvel's first MCU TV show has been pulling out all the stops over the past few years. After introducing Inhumans and Ghost Rider, season 5 has seen the team head into both space and the future to fight the Kree and stop the destruction of Earth. When the show returns next week, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. mid-season premiere will see the team be public enemy number one. And they still have to figure out how to save the planet.
On the horizon, the 100th episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will also be debuting soon. It's said to feature some big surprises, and we know Coulson's deal with Ghost Rider will be a part of it. Last we saw the leader of SHIELD, he was once again on the verge of dying. And with Coulson believed dead by the Avengers—and Marvel reluctant to connect the movies and TV—we may soon see the end of the character. As episode 100 approaches, Marvel has been commemorating each season of the show. Now, even season 5 has gotten the treatment.
Marvel has released the final 'Road to 100' poster, highlighting the big events of season 5 so far. While we thought the season 4 Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. poster was the last one, it seems the events of the past few months were too epic not to immortalize.
Created by Stonehouse, the poster pulls in the agents, the villainous Kree, and even includes Deke. Sadly, Flint is nowhere to be seen. We also get to see a spotlight on the reunion of FitzSimmons, who never seem to catch a break. Of course, they're engaged now, so maybe a happy ending is in order. Meanwhile, the broken planet looms in the background and the show's producers have teased the task of saving the future will involve plenty of twists and turns.
Like season 4 used the Framework conceit to bring back a number of key elements from the show's past, it seems the milestone episode will do the same. We recently learned Hive and Lash will return to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the 100th episode. Besides being two of the villains who dominated season 3 of the series, they happen to be some of the few Inhumans on the show that aren't noticeably human—though fans felt Lash's translation from page to screen left something to be desired. Still, seeing the past resurface as the show possibly heads towards its endgame is exciting and we should learn a lot more soon.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5 continues Friday, March 2 on ABC.
