Hoping to cheer fans up about the coronavirus, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. producer Geoffrey Colo reveals a new look at Daisy Johnson in season 7. The Marvel series, which airs on ABC and will continue to do so until the show airs its final season later this year, has become a bit of an anomaly. Attempts to air successful shows and produce Marvel pilots on network TV has proven difficult over the last several years. While Marvel has done immensely well with the film side of the MCU, the TV side has struggled. However, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has trucked along with a small but passionate fan base since 2013.

The show originally focused on Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson, a popular character from the movies who was seemingly killed by Loki in The Avengers. However, he was brought back to life for the show, working as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and leading a small team of agents. The show has evolved constantly throughout its run, focusing on many different enemies. The characters have gone up against MCU staple Hydra, Hive, and even LMD (Life Model Decoy) versions of themselves. In fact, season 7 will see the team work with an LMD version of Coulson after the original died at the end of season 5.

In addition to a LMD version of their former boss helping them, the team will also deal with a different time frame. To save his friends' lives in the season 6 finale, Leo Fitz sent them to 1930s New York. This explains their attire in a season 7 first look photo shared in December last year. Now, producer Colo has provided a new, close-up look at Chloe Bennet's Daisy Johnson in the 1930s. Check it out below:

Though Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. worked fairly seamlessly with storylines in the MCU in its first few seasons, the show has progressively done more of its own thing. Last season in particular forced S.H.I.E.L.D. to basically ignore the movies all together, as its summer airing made it difficult to address Avengers: Endgame. It seems likely that season 7 will do the same, especially considering the time travel aspect. The season also finished filming quite awhile ago, affecting what the show is able to reference in the world of Marvel.

Time travel is something Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has dealt with before, but not this far in the past. The 1930s time period is especially interesting, as it's not too far before the events of fellow ABC Marvel show Agent Carter. That series followed Peggy Carter, one of the original founders of S.H.I.E.L.D., just after the war. Hayley Atwell, who plays Peggy, has already appeared in two episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. thanks to flashbacks. However, even if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new season shows the team on its own in the 1930s, it should still be fun for fans to see the show in a different light.
