Agents of SHIELD's seventh and final season recently wrapped up the show and said goodbye to the characters who, over the past 7 years, have gone through their own series of interesting and satisfying character development. One character that has evolved a lot since the first season was Daisy Johnson aka Quake.

While lots of the core elements of her personality like her determination remained the same, one thing that's clear Daisy Johnson is a much different character than the one we met at the start of the series so here are 10 ways Daisy changed from season 1 of Agents of SHIELD to the finale.

Her Name

Agents of Shield Daisy Johnson Skye Quake

When Chloe Bennet's character was first introduced, she was going by the name "Skye" even though the name she was given at the orphanage was "Mary Sue Poots".

It wouldn't be until season 2 that, after meeting her birth parents, she would learn that her birth name was actually Daisy Johnson and decide to start going by it. Even her nicknames like "tremors", given to her by Mack after she gets her powers, and "Quake", which is what the media refers to her as, represent different aspects of her character.

Her Hair

Much like the character herself, Daisy's hair has gone through several transformations as the seasons progressed. It was cut for season 3 after she became inhuman, dyed black for season 4 after she went on the run, and then in season 6, it was dyed again, this time purple and blonde while she was in space.

She later had the purple streaks taken out in season 7 so that she could better blend in with the time periods they were jumping to in the show.

She Joined SHIELD

Daisy Johnson AKA Quake In Agents Of SHIELD

When we first meet Daisy she's a hacktivist working with a group called the Rising Tide who was responsible for exposing SHIELD to the world. After her work caught the attention of Coulson, she was recruited to join his crew and became an official member of the organization, initially being trained by Agent Ward and later by Agent May.

The series ends with her still as a member of SHIELD but now operating primarily in space aboard Zephyr Three which she attributes to Coulson believing in her.

She Became Inhuman

In the second season, Daisy experienced a major change that would not only affect her life but the course of the show as a whole. In the episode "What They Become" after following Raina into the Kree city where she had taken the diviner, Daisy was subjected to Terrigenesis, a process that, thanks to her Inhuman DNA granted her powers of vibration manipulation.

It was the first real step in her transition from more than just a regular SHIELD agent and into a full-fledged superhero.

She Learned to Control Her Powers

While getting superhuman abilities alone was a major shift for the character, learning to control those abilities was a struggle in itself.

At first, her powers were oftentimes uncontrollable which meant having to wear a pair of gauntlets to keep her bones in her arms from shattering when she would use them. Although it took time, Daisy was eventually able to master her abilities and incorporate them into her fighting style making her all the more dangerous.

She Became Quake

After the death of her boyfriend and fellow SHIELD Agent, Lincoln, Daisy left SHIELD and went on the run, became a vigilante known as "Quake."

As Quake, she began taking the money from banks and giving it to charities with her earning the nickname due to the seismic destruction she left behind. She eventually rejoined SHIELD, was endorsed by Director Mace, and was recognized as a superhero by the public later saved the world from the villain, Graviton.

She Met Her Parents

It was revealed early on that Skye grew up in an orphanage, not knowing who her real parents were. That changed in season 2, when through SHIELD she was able to meet her father, Calvin, and her mother, Jiaying.

Unfortunately, by the time she met them, they had both been through a lot of trauma and were dealing with their own individual issues. She was able to learn things she didn't know before like her real name and birthday but it came at the cost of seeing her dad kill her mom in order to protect her.

Her Relationship With Sousa

Agents of SHIELD Daniel Sousa and Daisy Johnson relationship

Despite being in several during the show, Daisy hasn't had great luck with relationships. Both Ward and Lincoln died, with the former turning out to be a double agent working for Hydra and the latter dying sacrificing himself to prevent Hive from achieving world domination.

So when she met Agent Sousa in season 7, it was great to see their relationship develop into a romantic one as the season progressed, finally giving the character a win in her love life.

Became a Leader

In addition to learning how to work on a team, Daisy also gained a lot of experience in leading one. Not only was she the director when Coulson was captured by Hale, but she also led a team of Inhumans called the Secret Warriors.

The team was comprised of Joey Gutierrez, Elena Rodriguez, and Lincoln Campbell and was officially activated by Mack when he was serving as Director in Coulson's place.

Learned to Forgive

Learning to forgive someone is a large part of growth and it's something Daisy had to learn to do on the show multiple times.

Daisy had been wronged by a lot of people, but the two biggest would have to be Agent Ward and her mother, Jiaying. She forgave Ward after meeting the Framework version of him in season 4 and she forgave her mother after meeting the alternate timeline version of her before she was tortured by Hydra in season 7 but it was in no way easy.
