Agent Carter Season 2 Promo Rings in the New Year

Marvel Studios continues expanding its universe not only on the big screen but also on the field of television. After an eight-episode season 1, fan-favorite Marvel lady Peggy Carter is coming back to our TV screens with the season 2 of Agent Carter, which will take over our TV schedules while Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is on a break. As part of the promotional campaign and also as a fun way to welcome the New Year, ABC released a new promo for season 2 of Agent Carter, teasing more action and some fun moments from Peggy in company of Jarvis.

This "New Year" promo gives us some words of wisdom to start 2016 off on the right foot: "be bold, be badass, and dress to kill," all this while sharing a few glimpses of Peggy's arrival in Los Angeles. The video also hints at many action-packed moments, as well as some funny situations that will come along with Peggy and Jarvis' mission in the West coast. Aside from that, it doesn't give much away.

Season 2 will follow Peggy and Jarvis on their most dangerous mission to date, involving a strange homicide and a body that glows and emanates cold. Because of this, she will leave New York City and cross the country all the way to Los Angeles. Once in the City of Angels, Peggy will reunite with her good old friend Jarvis, who welcomes her to the city and sets her up at Howard Stark's mansion.

Agent Carter Season 2 Adds Madame Masque Ana Jarvis

During this mission they will meet new people and reunite with old acquaintances. This odd investigation will lead them to scientist Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin), who will also be a potential love prospect for Peggy; Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett), who comic book fans may remember as super-villain Madame Masque. Here, Frost will be "a movie starlet, brilliant physicist, and the mastermind behind husband and senatorial candidate Calvin Chadwick (Currie Graham)."

Bridget Regan's Russian spy Dottie Underwood will also be coming back, and the audience – as well as Peggy – will meet Jarvis' wife Ana (played by Lotte Verbeek), whose free-spirit will gain her the trust of Agent Carter.

Although the synopsis, cast, and various spots have been released, it remains a mystery how this season will connect to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (and its on-going Inhumans plot), as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After all, it's all connected.

Agent Carter season 2 premieres Tuesday January 19th, 2016 at 9pm on ABC. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3 returns next year on Tuesday, March 8th at 9pm on ABC.
