Agent Carter star Lyndsy Fonseca wants to see Peggy and Angie getting together in an MCU multiverse storyline. Agent Carter was a TV series that ran on ABC for two seasons from 2015 to 2016 produced by Marvel Television which developed the character of Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell, following the events of Captain America: The First AvengerFonseca played Angie Martinelli in several episodes of the show, a waitress and actress who assists Peggy in her missions.

Fonseca is currently working on a Disney+ original series based on the 1989 Tom Hanks movie Turner & Hooch. Unlike Peggy, who had her storyline wrapped up with Steve Rogers at the climax of Avengers: Endgame, Fonseca's Angie was left at a loose end. And with the finale of Loki setting up the Marvel multiverse, it seems possible that there could be another timeline where Angie's story gets continued.

Talking to Comicbook, Fonseca expressed delight at Agent Carter fans continuing to ship a relationship between Peggy and Angie. After saying, "love my Agent Carter fans very much," she said that sometimes it could be hard to see where fans are coming from when they want two characters to get together. But she said with Peggy and Angie, she's "here for them" and would love to work with Atwell again because "working with Hayley was a working joy every day." Read her response in full below:

I know, isn't that amazing? It's... I love it. I'd really love it. I can just say, working with Hayley was a working joy every day. Those little weird love connections where you're like 'What?' It can be weird or confusing, but fans do that. But with Peggy and Angie and I'm like, 'Oh my God! I love it.' I'm here for them.

Agent Peggy Carter turns around in the middle of a busy street

Unlike some other Marvel TV shows produced before the Marvel Studios series were incorporated into the MCU, the two seasons of Agent Carter are available under the Marvel banner on Disney+, suggesting that there may be plans to continue her story. Since Peggy Carter has featured in several movies within the MCU, it makes sense that the character could return with Angie alongside her and possibly receive a standalone film in the footsteps of Black Widow. And since Marvel has expressed that it aims to increase LGBTQ+ representation in its content, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that a lesbian relationship will be part of that and thus expand its queer fanbase.

Viewers of Loki have also claimed to spot Peggy being arrested by the TVA in the background of a scene in the show, suggesting that plans are already underway for the character's revival. It would be great to see the character developed within the MCU since her roles in films after Captain America have been little more than cameos. With the massive expansion of the MCU the multiverse and Disney+ offer, the continued popularity of Agent Carter could see such a storyline become a reality.
