Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has seen many friendships develop over the years, but none have proven to be as great as the one between Skimmons. When Daisy (Chloe Bennet) was first introduced to the show, the writers' presented her as an outsider; many of the other agents doubted her capabilities and thought she could be a liability. However, Jemma (Elizabeth Henstridge) was the very first person to be happy with the newest addition, welcoming her onto the Bus.

Fans have had the privilege to see their friendship grow on (and off) screen. No matter what problems come up, the pair manage to come out on top. From Simmons protecting Daisy to the pair's "bad girl shenanigans", here are the 10 best Daisy and Simmons moments ranked.

Daisy goes to Simmons for help (S4 Ep4)

After Lincoln's (Luke Mitchell) death, Daisy decides to take a short break from S.H.I.E.L.D. She joins forces with the Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) to try and fight the Watchdogs. However, one mission sees Johnson badly injured and in desperate need of medical attention. Instead of returning to the new base, Daisy decides to turn to Simmons for help.

It is implied that Daisy has been keeping track of Simmons since she started apartment hunting. Simmons reveals in her phone-call to Fitz (Ian De Caestecker) that she received an email offer for their dream apartment. It turns out that Daisy is responsible for the message. To know Jemma's "check-list" proves how well she knows her best friend.

Simmons protecting Daisy from Ward (S2 Ep6)

When it was revealed that Ward (Brett Dalton) was a HYDRA mole, Daisy was completely devastated. He further poured salt in the wound when he dropped Fitz-Simmons into the ocean, leaving Fitz brain damaged. S.H.I.E.L.D. ended up locking Ward in Vault D until he was transferred to his brother's care.

Before his transfer, Ward tried to get back in Daisy's good books. Knowing how much she wanted to learn about her past, Ward tried to manipulate Daisy with information on her father. Simmons could see that he was getting back under her skin and soon became protective of Daisy. As Ward was being escorted out, he spots Daisy in the corridor. Simmons decides to stand in front of Daisy, blocking his view of her before he can engage in a conversation.

Simmons helped Daisy adjust to her powers (S2 Ep13 & 14)

Daisy took center stage after the mid-season finale saw her become an Inhuman. At first, Daisy struggled to come to terms with her newly activated abilities; she would cause spontaneous earthquakes that ended up breaking her arms. Although Simmons was wary of the Inhumans, it didn't stop her from trying to help.

Simmons began to work on several pairs of power gauntlets, designed to protect her from the vibrations and help her heal quicker. Despite the gloves prohibiting Daisy from reaching maximum potential, she was thankful for her friend's continuing effort to help her adapt to her powers.

Saving Daisy's hula dancer figurine (S2 Ep20)

From the episode "0-8-4", it became obvious that the hula dancer figurine was important to Daisy. She seems to value this possession most, playing with it in her bunk and taking it with her wherever she goes. This item also plays an important part in mending the friendship between her and Jemma.

Simmons and Daisy seemed to have a brief falling out when the Index came into play; however, Simmons tries to mend the rift between the two by giving Daisy back the figurine ("Scars"). Daisy is touched to hear that Simmons decided to grab it before the Bus crashed. The pair seem to get back on the right path after this.

Jemma tries to prank Daisy (S1 Ep9)

To properly introduce Daisy into the team, Fitz-Simmons decide to take this opportunity to prank her. Although Simmons justifies the idea by suggesting it is "an integral part of becoming a S.H.I.E.L.D agent", the pair just want to take part in the fun they missed by graduating early.

The duo decides to play their first prank, telling Daisy the origin of May's (Ming-Na Wen) nickname. They also make up a story about how May saved 100 agents on whilst riding on horseback. Daisy seems to buy the story until Coulson (Clark Gregg) tells her the true story.

Their "bad girl shenanigans" (S1 Ep7)

In "The Hub", Jemma and Daisy are shown to bond over their mutual worry for Fitz and Ward. They decide to hack into the SHIELD mainframe, entering a restricted hallway to get the information. However, Jemma is hesitant to get involved in Daisy's "bad girl shenanigans" because it puts her reputation at risk.

Daisy manages to convince Jemma to go along with the plan, but run into a complication when they are confronted by Agent Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernandez). Daisy watches on horrified as Simmons awkwardly flirts with the agent before she shoots him with an ICER. Simmons then delivers the funniest line when she asks Daisy if "that looked alright?".

When Jemma almost died (S1 Ep6)

The team almost lost one of the core characters in this episode as Jemma became infected by a Chitauri virus. Jemma was tasked with finding a cure, but soon find out she was infected when she began to mimic the other symptoms. Since the three victims had quickly died after touching with the helmet, it wasn't looking good for the scientist.

"F.Z.Z.T." was the first episode fans saw how close the team had become, particularly Daisy. Daisy was shown to be deeply upset after receiving the bad news, watching anxiously as Jemma tries to find a cure. When she has no such luck, Daisy looks devastated as Simmons says her goodbye. Their bond is solidified by the end when the pair hug.

Trying to find Fitz (S6 Ep1)

When season 6 opened,  it was revealed that the team had split into two teams. While Mack (Henry Simmons), May  and Elena (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) remained on Earth, Daisy and Jemma took a team out to space. Here, they planned on tracking down Fitz's cryo-chamber.

Fans find out that Daisy and Simmons have been chasing Fitz for over a year. As Fitz-Simmons number one supporter, it wasn't surprising that Daisy was the first one on board with the trip. Even with Jemma's unreasonable and insufferable attitude, Daisy still refused to abandon her best friend.

Jemma cries when Daisy is shot (S1 Ep13)

Another emotional episode was "T.R.A.C.K.S", which saw the team almost lose Daisy this time. After Daisy had been shot by Ian Quinn (David Conrad), the team rallied round to save her life. Simmons was the first person to decide that Daisy's best chance of survival was to put her in the hyperbaric chamber.

There is a poignant moment in this episode that shows how far Daisy and Simmons' friendship had come. When Simmons reveals to the team that the hyperbaric chamber is only a short-term solution, she has to excuse herself from the room. She soon breaks down in Fitz's arms as the possibility of losing Daisy takes its toll.

Accidentally getting high on alien LSD (S6 Ep3)

Probably one of the show's funniest episodes, "Fear and Loathing on the Planet of Kitson" saw Daisy and Simmons accidentally get high. Under the influence of alien "puffs", the pair end up having an emotional heart-to-heart underneath a gaming table.

Simmons tells Daisy how proud she is of the Inhuman and tells her she is her best friend, which Daisy reciprocates. She also helps Daisy control her powers after the puffs began to affect her aim. Daisy does her fair share of friendly duties when she comforts Simmons after she begins to lose hope over finding Fitz.
