Warning! This post contains spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Scarlet Witch is last seen dying in the collapsing rubble of Mount Wundagore, but one MCU theory suggests this may not be the end for Wanda Maximoff. Given that she decimates sorcerers, innocent civilians, and high-profile superheroes in Multiverse of Madness, one of the movie's biggest questions is if Scarlet Witch will ever be seen as a hero again. It doesn't help that she's also coming off of WandaVision, which found her traumatizing the residents of Westview in an attempt to deal with her own grief.

Still, in that series, pitted against the witch Agatha Harkness, Wanda was very much the hero. Even as she seemingly trapped Agatha in Westview for eternity, it was easy to understand Wanda's pain. With Agatha's return on the horizon via her new Disney+ show Agatha: House of Harkness, could the witch again pave the way for Wanda to be a hero?

One theory (via Reddit) posits this is entirely possible. It points out that, after the events of Doctor Strange 2, Agatha could wake up and then quickly make her way to Mount Wundagore. While Scarlet Witch is dying in the rubble, Agatha could take advantage of her perilous situation, casting a spell and sending Wanda to a TV-like reality again, similar to WandaVisionWith this premise, Agatha: House of Harkness could then feature Wanda trying to escape the reality Agatha traps her in. The series could show Wanda slowly figuring out what's going on, traveling to different places that mirror reality TV shows like Big Brother and Survivor, and losing at every turn, with Agatha trying to break Wanda into becoming the Scarlet Witch again, therefore exposing her power for her own gain.

Ultimately, the theory suggests sentencing Wanda to a tough fate before her eventual redemption. Seeing Wanda succumb to the hands of another powerful witch would be the perfect way to remind audiences how much they sympathized with her in WandaVision and allow them to root for her once again. It would also give her the opportunity to defeat a fully-evil witch because not only do viewers need to see Wanda save the world, they also need to see her use her powers for good.

Although an entertaining theory, it's unlikely that Marvel would tackle this kind of storyline in Agatha: House of Harkness. For one, it would be strange to make an entirely new show devoted to one character only to have it end up being more like WandaVision season 2. The theory has some holes for sure, and it's likely not going to be the way Wanda's story continues, but it would be a sure-fire opportunity to help her character. Agatha Harkness is a powerful witch that only Wanda can stop, and doing so would benefit the MCU as well, as there aren't many high-powered heroes left after Avengers: Endgame. The theory suggests exactly the rebirth that Wanda needs after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' ending and would be a fitting and appropriate way to not only map out the new show but redeem Scarlet Witch.
