Agatha Harkness is getting her own MCU Spinoff from WandaVision, and the new Disney+ show must use her hit theme song "Agatha All Along." In WandaVision Kathryn Hahn stole the show as Agnes, a nosy neighbor to Wanda, who was revealed to be a centuries-old witch called Agatha Harkness and is after the secret of Wanda's power. The success of WandaVision and Agatha Harkness has resulted in Marvel and Disney+ beginning development on a spinoff series centering on the evil witch, with Hahn reprising her role.

Part of the charm of WandaVision is its theme songs inspired by whatever decade of television the show was in episode-to-episode. In revealing her as the villain of the story, Agatha was given her own theme song, "Agatha All Along." The song spells out that Agatha had been the one pulling the strings and manipulating Wanda throughout the show. It's a wonderful ditty by Oscar-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who were inspired by the TV themes of The Addams Family and The Munsters.

One essential ingredient that should be carried over is Agatha's theme song. Little is known about the still-in-development show, however, it is understood to be a dark comedy, which fits in perfectly with the personality of the character and her theme song. "Agatha All Along" struck a chord with fans when it first aired, inspiring numerous cover versions and memes from fans of the series. It's a catchy tune and even won an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. The song is now synonymous with Agatha as a character, and having her own show without it just wouldn't seem right after it became such an iconic part of the character's reveal.

WandaVision Agatha witches

During the final moments of WandaVision's spectacularly magic finale, Agatha was imprisoned in her Agnes persona by Wanda. Her character is too interesting though to have that be her fate indefinitely, and indeed Hahn has signed a deal to return as Agatha Harkness in future MCU films and shows. Notwithstanding this, a potentially richer source of storytelling possibilities could be a prequel series. Agatha Harkness has been around for hundreds of years, through almost every conceivable musical period. It could be fun for the show to adapt her theme to different genres of music if the show follows the time-jumping format of WandaVision.

Despite being the villain of WandaVision, Agatha Harkness became a fan favorite over the course of the show and has the potential to really break out as an MCU character the way Loki did. Kathryn Hahn is extremely talented and long overdue a lead role of this caliber. Hopefully, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are also invited back for the Disney+ show and can work their magic again on new versions of "Agatha All Along."
