Some may say that cartoons are just for kids, but there are several that are made specifically for adults. These popular TV shows feature complex characters and plots, some inappropriate jokes and silly antics, too.

And some people love these television series so much that they get tattoos in honor of them… like the 10 that are down below. They celebrate families, moments, quotes and more from these well-known and animated stories, such as Archer, Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy, and they are all super fun and funky way to show off a passion and an interest to the world!

Bob’s Burgers

Bob’s Burgers focuses on the Belcher family, as they live above and own a burger joint. One of the children in this show is Tina, who is a bit awkward. However, look at her here… She is being shown off, in all her glory, thanks to tattoo artist Sjeli Dale!

There is a detailed gold frame around her that is adorned with pretty flowers. There is a banner going across that says "everything is okay". And there is a look on this character's face that may not look like she is okay, but it is a very Tina expression.

Family Guy

This next tat was done by bombayfoor, and it shows off one of the most-known cartoon families out there: the Griffins from Family Guy. Meg, Lois, Stewie, Chris, Brian, Peter... All of their faces are inked in such an interesting way, all connected like an abstract piece of art. The chaos of it all sort of echoes the craziness of the series, as well, since these people are always getting into some sort of mess.

Yes, there are a good amount of tats out there that feature these characters, but not everyone has this original art!

Rick & Morty

Via Arrows and Embers Tattoo

A fan favorite within this genre would be Rick and Morty, which follows the adventures of a mad scientist and his grandson. As fans know, Rick once became Pickle Rick, and this is now a tattoo that people get. It may not be for everyone, since it is, after all, showing off a talking sour thing with bumps all over it.

But for the right fan, this could be just the right ink. And if anyone wants this exact artwork, turn to artist Jason Dasaro.

South Park

On imgur, a user called GhostlyCannibal uploaded this photo of this artwork that is now permanently on their body; it has four silhouettes, which are all done in thin black lines. One is wider than the rest, and they all appear to be wearing distinct hats... That is because these are the four main characters from South Park! This is a minimal yet very cool design that honors a classic cartoon.

Archer

Next up is a Sterling Archer tattoo by James Mullin. This is a bold and bright graphic of the title character, and he is surrounded by leaves and a flower, as well as a banner that reads "Danger Zone".

So much happens, when it comes to this gang, so there are so many options for inked artwork. However, this one is perfection. It is intriguing. It is colorful. It is humorous. It is a great way to celebrate the TV show Archer.

King Of The Hill

A Reddit user once shared this artwork with the world: a King of the Hill tat that was combined with Mount Rushmore. It features four characters' faces, in place of presidents' faces, and it also has some items that are significant to this series, such as a water tower, a can of beer and some propane.

This is a one-of-a-king thing that shows off several references from this show, making it a true conversation piece.

Futurama

Another Reddit user, uncorrectlee, posted a picture of their first tattoo, which is a nod to Futurama.

As true fans know, Planet Express is the delivery compаny from this animated television series, where all the main characters work. And while any ink that referenced this classic would be neat, opting for a made-up business is amazing!

Beavis And Butthead

Next up is some art that was done by Marcus Maguire and that is centered around Beavis and Butthead. This TV show, which was created by Mike Judge, was on from 1993 to 1997, yet it is still watched, talked about and even put permanently on people’s bodies, too.

The humor is not for everyone, but once again, this could be the perfect thing for a real fan of this series to get. It would also be cool for two friends to get, as they could each get a character tattooed to their bodies!

Adventure Time

Adventure Time is an animated series that comes on Cartoon Network, and it actually appeals to both young and older fans, as it follows a boy named Finn and a magical dog named Jake. There are quirky characters, exciting adventures and fantasy elements within this show, and one fan got this incredible tat to celebrate it all.

It has the faces of main characters all stacked upon one another, down the arm. So it is geometric. It is artistic. And it is such a grand way to show off a love for this popular series.

The Simpsons

Last but not least, there is a very notable tattoo that focuses on The Simpsons, which is the longest-running sitcom in the U.S., the longest-running scripted primetime show in the U.S. and probably the most popular animated series of all time.

So, for a series this iconic, there is this tattoo that set a Guinness world record; this is the most tats that show off one cartoon character on one body, and there are 41 Homers here on Lee Weir. Homer in different clothes, Homer with his favorite food, Homer as a superhero… It is all here, and it is all awesome.
