With Robert Pattinson having been cast as the next Batman, fans are desperate to know who'll be in Matt Reeves' Batman movie. It's been rumored that The Penguin and Catwoman will be part of the film. They'll be two of the villains in the movie, and there are a lot of actors who should be considered for the roles.

Here are five actors who could play The Penguin and five actors who could play Catwoman in Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman movie.

The Penguin: Dan Fogler

Dan Fogler is best known as Jacob Kowalski from the Fantastic Beasts series of films, and he's brilliant in them. They've allowed him to demonstrate what a versatile actor he is and how easily he can play any role thrown at him.

In terms of his filmography, Fogler was in Hannibal, The Walking Dead, Fanboys, and both Fantastic Beast movies. He’s usually portrayed as the comic relief, but he does have a much darker side that he could especially demonstrate as The Penguin in The Batman. It would be interesting to see him explore that side of his acting ability as The Penguin in Matt Reeves' Batman movie.

Catwoman: Ana De Armas

Ana de Armas’ star is most definitely on the rise. She was very impressive as Joi in Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049. De Armas has since landed herself in the upcoming Bond movie, which is being directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga.

She's shown how good she is on-screen time and time again, and she has the right look for the role of Catwoman. She's great in action movies and dramatic ones. She's a very talented actress, and Matt Reeves would be lucky to have her as his Catwoman.

The Penguin: Andy Serkis

Andy Serkis has already shown us what a genuinely talented actor he is in the likes of The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. He played Gollum in those films and was also very impressive as Caesar in the Planet of The Apes movies. Both those characters were CGI. However, he's also appeared in some of the Marvel movies as Ulysses Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Black Panther.

It would be wonderful to see him get a chance to play a role like The Penguin. Serkis definitely has the acting chops to play a role like one of DC Comics' most notorious criminals.

Catwoman: Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart is a truly remarkable actress. She has come a long way since appearing in the Twilight movies. Just watch her in films like Clouds of Sils Maria, Still Alice, and Personal Shopper. She's brilliant in them, and she became the first American actress ever to win a Caesar award for her work in Clouds of Sils Maria.

She has all the talent to play a role like Catwoman and also has the right sort of physique. Unfortunately, given her history with actor Robert Pattinson, it's unlikely that Warner Bros. will want to cast her in the movie.

The Penguin: Toby Jones

Toby Jones is one of the most fascinating actors working in Hollywood today. He's already proven himself to be incredibly talented and he has the right look to play a character like The Penguin. However, he doesn't receive any proper recognition for his work.

Jones would be an incredible addition to the film, and the DC Comics cinematic universe would be blessed to have him. He's also no stranger to appearing in a big franchise, having been in the Marvel movies.

Catwoman: Alison Brie

Alison Brie is great. There aren't many actresses as good as her, and she's demonstrated over and over how versatile she really is. She's shown that she can do comedy in the likes of Community, but also drama in series such as GLOW. And in GLOW, she's proved that she can do her own stunts and is very good at them.

She has both the acting ability and physical prowess to play a role like Catwoman. She'd also put her own unique twist on the character, and it would be a fascinating choice for this classic role.

The Penguin: Timothy Spall

Timothy Spall is another actor who doesn't really get the recognition he deserves. He's one of the best actors around today and has shown how good he is time and time again. He's most famous have having played Peter Pettigrew in the Harry Potter movies.

Spall is consistently exciting to watch, and he seems able to juggle anything he gets. He's shown that he can play slightly creepy roles in the past, like Pettigrew, and that's the sort of actor Matt Reeves' Batman movie would need.

Catwoman: Ruth Negga

Ruth Negga is a wonderful actress who hasn't been given the opportunity she truly deserves. She's been very impressive in the AMC series Preacher, in which she plays Tulip.

She’s also been in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, in which she plays Raina. She’s also demonstrated what a talented actress she is in the likes of Loving, Warcraft: The Beginning, and also World War Z. However, she hasn’t been given a really big role yet, and Catwoman would be perfect for her. Hollywood should be giving Negga more roles because she’s brilliant and should be in more stuff.

The Penguin: Josh Gad

Josh Gad has made it no secret how much he wants to play the role of The Penguin in Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman movie. He's been very active on social media in campaigning for the role. However, social media campaign aside, Josh Gad would be an excellent fit for the role of The Penguin.

He's certainly got the look and would be a great foil to Robert Pattinson's Batman. Gad is most famous for being the voice of Olaf in Frozen. Not unlike Dan Fogler, he's known for his comedic work. However, just look at how good Danny DeVito was as The Penguin, and he was mostly known as a comedic actor before he was cast in the role.

Catwoman: Sofia Boutella

Sofia Boutella has quickly been showing Hollywood what she's truly capable of. The French-Algerian actress first made an impression on Hollywood when she appeared in Kingsman: The Secret Service as the terrifying hench-lady Gazelle with deadly blades for legs.

She's since appeared in films such as Star Trek: Beyond, The Mummy, and Atomic Blonde. She was especially impressive in The Mummy, in which she played Princess Ahmanet alongside Tom Cruise. She's definitely got the acting skills required for the role of Catwoman, she has the look, and she's brilliant at stunt work. She's the full package, which is why she just has to be on Matt Reeves' radar.
