Robert Patrick is the only actor to be killed onscreen by the legendary action trio of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis. Arnold and Stallone were famously bitter rivals during the '80s, with the duo making similiar projects about muscly, one-liner spouting action heroes amassing large body counts. They would often try to outdo each other in terms of physique, paycheques, kill counts and so forth. Their '80s action output almost play like proto-superhero movies, whereas the arrival of Bruce Willis ushered in a new kind of action protagonist.

In Die Hard, Willis' John McClane may shoot off his mouth as well as his gun, but he's also vulnerable. He expresses fear and becomes progressively more wounded throughout the story. Willis' movies in the '90s would build on this persona with the likes of The Last Boyscout and Striking Distance. In their heyday, Arnie, Stallone and Willis were the champions of the action genre, with the trio eventually appearing together in the first two Expendables movies.

Collectively, the group has racked up a sizable body count onscreen. One actor they've all faced off against is Robert Patrick, who has appeared in everything from The X-Files to Peacemaker as Auggie Smith. Patrick always improves any project he appears in, and he also boasts the distinction of being the only actor killed onscreen by Arnie, Stallone and Bruce Willis. The latter got there first, with Die Hard 2 - which Bruce Willis disliked - being one of Patrick's first studio movies. In the sequel he played mercenary, O'Reilly. His death scene involves Willis' McClane dropping a vent covering on him from above as a distraction, before shooting him multiple times.

Robert Patrick's next onscreen death from the Arnold, Stallone and Willis gang came with Terminator 2: Judgment Day. T2's T-1000 is Patrick's most famous role, with the actor perfectly cast as the unstoppable assassin. After being seemingly unkillable for most of the movie, Arnie's T-800 eventually shoots him with a grenade launcher. This round explodes inside Patrick's T-1000, badly damaging his structure, and he falls into a vat of molten steel, which finally destroys him.

Patrick's final demise from the trio came with 1997's Cop Land, where his corrupt officer is shot dead by Stallone's sheriff. Cop Land was a change of pace for Stallone - after making several movies he regretted - who gained weight to play the partially deaf and out-of-shape sheriff who takes a stand. In the finale, a shootout erupts at the house of Harvey Keitel's villain, with Robert Patrick being one of the first killed by Stallone. Aside from being the only actor killed onscreen by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis, Patrick was also killed by Willis' former wife Demi Moore. In Charlies Angels: Full Throttle, Moore's Madison shoots Robert Patrick's character multiple times, and she even killed Willis earlier in the movie when the actor made a small cameo.
