Pisces, the last sign of the Zodiac, enjoy creativity and are known for being empathetic. A water sign, they are more laid back than other water signs such as Cancer and Scorpio. Represented by fish, they are ruled by the planet Neptune. Pisces also have a tendency to become moody and emotionally closed off after being hurt.

Therefore, taking these traits into consideration, it makes sense that Pisces would appreciate creative approaches to films and TV shows, as well as sympathetic characters who try to do the right thing. Therefore, here are five action films that Pisces will love, and five that they will hate.

Love: Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

From the audience's reaction, it's clear both that the ending was extremely unexpected, and that Tom Holland's performance as Peter Parker made this film.

As Holland's turn as Spiderman is particularly liked due to the actor's gregarious nature and dynamic with Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, it's pretty clear that this film would appeal to Pisces. As the penultimate setpiece in a 22-film saga, Avengers: Infinity War sets the stage for an epic final chapter.

Hate: X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)

As critics and audience agreed, X-Men: Dark Phoenix was a fairly predictable film. The premise of a woman coming into a destructive power on her own and figuring out how to use it was revolutionary in the 1980s, when Jean Grey's story was conceived, but isn't so much now, as it has had many copycats in the years since.

As empowered female characters have become more ingrained in media, stories like Dark Phoenix have become more familiar.

Love: Deadpool (2016)

Fox's Deadpool has a great early example of something Pisces would appreciate, and something that fits the brand of the film's humor: the title cards. Allegedly, they were put in as placeholders but were kept for the sake of the joke.

The entire concept of the film is somewhat experimental and therefore appeals to Pisces' creativity. Deadpool himself is likable due to his affability but is clearly still a force to be reckoned with.

Hate: The Hateful Eight (2015)

The Hateful Eight is a Quentin Tarantino-led venture about eight strangers who meet at a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass during the late 1800s. There are various characters who all have their own motives, and the lack of narrative cohesion didn't help the storytelling, according to critics.

Other than traveling to get to the stopover, which turns out to be a haberdashery, The Hateful Eight takes place at the business, which can make for a static film. The lesser amount of creativity for this Tarantino film, especially when compared to others, is a bit of a disappointment.

Love: Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)

Kingsman: The Secret Service is Colin Firth's first time performing in any kind of action role, and it's easy to tell he had fun. This film also introduces Taron Egerton, who has had several great roles since, such as Rocketman.

Kingsman is a pastiche of James Bond and other British spy films, and the playful tone works. One downside is that the violence can drag on, though other than that, Kingsman is a film Pisces would enjoy.

Hate: R.I.P.D. (2012)

R.I.P.D. stands for the Rest in Peace Department and consists of the police officers who protect the afterlife by finding and returning lost souls who refuse to move on. Boston police officer Nick has just been murdered and vows to find his killer in the afterlife. Along the way, he discovers that his former partner is trying to become immortal.

The initial premise of R.I.P.D. is what makes it seem like a last choice for a Pisces movie night: it's not very interesting. The simple fact that the afterlife even needs a police department, never mind a police department that runs similarly to the regular police department in the living world, was considered lazy by critics.

Love: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)

This was definitely a film that audiences didn't expect. Featuring several Spider-Mans from different universes, the creative nature of this film is off the charts, thereby rendering it interesting for Pisces especially. Miles Morales must take up the mantle of Spider-Man, with the help of several others, after his universe's Spider-Man is killed.

Miles is an easy character to like, and his quest for approval from his police officer father is an easy cause to get behind. Likewise, the Spider-Mans from other universes, whose only goals are to return to their homes, are also easy to accept and root for.

Hate: Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle (2017)

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a sequel to the classic 1995 film Jumanji. Four teenagers discover a strange video game in the school basement that they are cleaning during detention. After they decide to play, they are sucked into the game.

After discovering that another teenager has been here for decades, the four are doubly determined to win the game and return home. The recent trend towards superhero movies and franchises, including this film, makes the results disappointingly predictable and unoriginal.

Love: Murder on the Orient Express (2017)

The main cast of 2017's Murder On The Orient Express

Murder on the Orient Express is an updated film version of the Agatha Christie novel of the same name, directed by and starring Kenneth Branaugh. The script takes liberties with the story, but with such an old concept, that's expected. It's good to find something new in an old story.

Therefore, the creativity of the changes makes it something a Pisces would enjoy. Most characters are sympathetic, despite their motives, some of which aren't quite pure.

Hate: Red Sparrow (2018)

Red Sparrow is a spy film based on the novel of the same name. Dominika (Jennifer Lawrence) becomes a Sparrow, or a spy trained in seduction, for the Russian government in order to ensure her mother's medication is paid for after Dominika has an accident that ends her dance career.

The film's length and over-reliance on violence were what drove critics away, and it just might turn away Pisces too.
