With these types of movie fans in mind, here are 15 gargantuan action movies to please all those who loved 6 Underground and want to see more of the same thrills and comedy straight away.

Updated July 10th, 2020 by George Chrysostomou: With 6 Underground still being streamed around the world on Netflix, there are plenty of other action movies to visit while cinemas are still shut, after finishing the Michael Bay flick. With that in mind, we've added a few more action-packed selections to check out if you enjoyed this movie.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)

Mission Impossible Fallout

In terms of massive blockbuster action movies, Mission: Impossible - Fallout may have been one of the biggest films of 2018. It takes many of the espionage elements of 6 Underground and improves upon them.

Widely regarded as the best entry of the franchise, this Tom Cruise hit has all the charm and spectacle of a Michael Bay film with a lot more tension, higher stakes, and a fantastic plot.

John Wick: Chapter 3 (2019)

John Wick puts together a decades old gun

In terms of action movies, there's probably nothing heavier hitting than the movies starring Keanu Reeves as the unforgettable John Wick. The third chapter of the series goes the extra mile in establishing the world he operates within.

Much like the land of dead agents in 6 Underground, there are certain rules that John must abide by, which he ultimately has to face the consequences of breaking. It's a beautifully shot and remarkably immersive world, with stunning action sequences that are likely to set the bar for years to come.

Skyscraper (2018)

Dwayne Johnson has become a bit of a king in regards to huge popcorn flicks. Skyscraper may not work with the best script ever written, but its stars manage to make it work with their charm and talent. And of course, the big explosions don't hurt matters any.

With the audience being taken on a journey up a collapsing skyscraper, it's safe to say that the stakes are certainly high for this security man. There's a lot of fun to be had with a film that may lack style but makes up for it with unparalleled charisma.

Gemini Man (2019)

Very few films manage to create such a visual spectacle as this Will Smith and Ang Lee production. With Smith pulling double duty, this action flick turns into a sci-fi thriller very quickly.

It contains a huge array of carefully designed action sequences that are all the more impressive considering the duality of the performer. There are a few moments that leave viewers scratching their heads, but at the end of the day it's just a lot of fun.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon (2011)

Michael Bay is known for his flashy filming style, although usually without any substance. For other films like Six Underground look no further than Bay's work on the robots in disguise.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is perhaps the film in the series that defines his filmography the most. It's epic in scale, with a lot of explosions and moving parts. It may be a little silly in many places, but that's an incredibly minor cinematic sin considering the splendor and majesty of Michael Bay's signature high-octane setpieces.

Furious 7 (2015)

If the laws of physics are an acceptable casualty in your quest for non-stop action then the Fast and Furious franchise really has to be your first stop.

With Jason Statham now on board, and an equally-impressive host of new faces bolstering the franchise's ever-growing fictional universe too, this globetrotting take on the superspy thriller is too big to ignore. It was only a matter of time before Ryan Reynolds joined in the fun as well, appearing four years later in the more conventional buddy action spin-off Hobbs & Shaw.

The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017)

Ryan Reynolds's bodyguard reluctantly teams up with Samuel L. Jackson's titular hitman in this buddy action odd-couple comedy injected with political thriller elements.

The pair's instant screen chemistry delighted fans so much that a sequel, titled The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, was greenlit the year after its release.

The A-Team (2010)

Though it didn't quite ignite the box office in the way needed to become a franchise starter, Joe Carnahan's take on the famous group of soldiers for hire rightfully has its fans. A great cast, coupled with some memorably over-the-top action set pieces, makes The A-Team more than a mere throwback.

Acting as an origin story for the superteam, The A-Team mixes espionage, prison breaks, con jobs, heists, and all-out war to dizzying effect.

Wanted (2008)

Timur Bekmambetov's comic book adaptation comes from that distant past of the world just before the MCU took off and the eclectic cast and visual style make it a unique entry into the overall pantheon of the genre.

Yet to become the new Professor X, James McAvoy plays a meek office worker who discovers a hidden talent for assassination and joins an elite organization of professional killers who frequently flirt with the supernatural. Weird, action-packed and darkly funny, Wanted can hit a spot that most mainline comic book movies, R-rated or no, couldn't dream of getting close to.

Bad Boys II (2003)

There are a number of movies from director Michael Bay that are well-suited for a 6 Underground fan. His style, whilst certainly at its most relentlessly intense in 6 Underground, has been quite consistent throughout his career.

The next best example of Bay's style being cranked up all the way to 11 would have to be Bad Boys II, a merciless barrage of inappropriate humor, big action, and sun-drenched Miami flair. All expertly tied together by the enduring star power of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

The Expendables 3 (2014)

Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables 3

Sylvester Stallone's machismo Avengers return for their biggest outing yet to take down Mel Gibson's rogue former Expendable. The addition of Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Harrison Ford, and even some younger blood makes it a celebration of all things action that's hard to pass up.

Even with a surprise PG-13 rating for the usually R-rated franchise, director Patrick Hughes keeps the explosions, and crowd-pleasing cheesy one-liners, flowing.

Deadpool (2016)

It's been fairly common knowledge among movie fans for basically decades now that Ryan Reynolds is one of the most comedically talented actors working in mainstream movies. But he never truly found the role to utilize this power until Deadpool.

The so-called Merc with a Mouth was a perfect fit for Reynolds' on-screen charm and the comic book elements to 6 Underground feel the most strongly linked to the ultraviolent world of this X-Men spin-off.

American Assassin (2017)

After his girlfriend is murdered in a terrorist attack, a young man becomes obsessed with tracking down the cell responsible so that he can take his revenge. When U.S. Special Forces get his target just before he does, he's disappointed but is ultimately recruited to use his rage on a wider array of targets.

Michael Keaton's unforgiving black ops trainer is the highlight of the movie next to Taylor Kitsch's rogue villain but the action is always an impressive centerpiece in this conventional but well-made thriller.

Hitman: Agent 47 (2016)

The second shot at a movie adaptation of the widely-popular Hitman video game series, Agent 47 didn't end up faring any better than the first attempt in 2007 but its focus on bigger, wackier, action set pieces makes it stand out more.

The movie's bursting with overly elaborate gadgets and all-round instruments of death but Zachary Quinto's scientifically enhanced almost-cyborg bad guy steals the show in terms of sheer entertaining craziness.

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)

In terms of totally shameless stylized action comedy, there are few choices as loud and proud as the Kingsman movies. Matthew Vaughn's first movie in the ongoing comic book franchise sends up the James Bond world of sophisticated spies with a spring in its step.

Following the success of The Secret Service, the sequel, The Golden Circle, focused more on the characters with a WWI era prequel hot on its heels.
