Here's every song that features on Act Of Valor: The Album. Actor Michael Biehn is best known for his collaborations with James Cameron, but he's also noted for having played a Navy SEAL three times on film. The first was The Abyss - another Cameron collaboration - while the others were The Rock and 1990's Navy SEALS. Despite being written by former Navy SEAL Chuck Pfarrer the latter was decried as a silly, unrealistic action flick that Biehn himself hated.

Act Of Valor is a 2012 action movie directed by Scott Waugh and Mike McCoy that sought to be the most realistic movie about Navy SEALS and their tactics, and to that end, it actually cast real-life SEALS in the lead roles. This resulted in adding an extra dimension to the action sequences, which were noted as the movie's highlight. While the film features some undeniably visceral setpieces, reviews noted the SEALS themselves weren't really natural performers, resulting in stilted performances. Many also noted its similarity to military-themed video games like the Call Of Duty franchise.

Act Of Valor was a solid hit back in 2012, grossing over $80 million worldwide on a modest budget. The movie's release was accompanied by Act Of Valor: The Album, which featured ten songs from country music stars. Here's every song featured on the soundtrack.

A Navy SEAL emerging from the water in Act of Valor

  • Two Soldiers Coming Home - Lori McKenna

Act Of Valor: The Album was also a success and went to number eight on the US Billboard Top Country Albums. The Keith Urban Act Of Valor song "For You" was released as a single, and plays over the end credits of the movie itself. Other notable country acts featured on the soundtrack include Wynonna Judd, Trace Adkins and Lady Antebellum.

Soon after the success of Act Of Valor, talk of a sequel began. Act Of Valor 2 was set to focus on an elite SWAT team instead of Navy SEALS, and it would once again employ real-life officers and tactics. The sequel was set to be helmed by Scott Wiper, who directed and starred in the cult action movie A Better Way To Die with Andre Braugher and The Condemned. Word on Act Of Valor 2 has gone very quiet since it was first announced in 2013, so it's likely not moving ahead anymore.
