Assassin's Creed Valhalla is already a massive gamed filled with dozens of hours of content. But soon, the laundry list of things to do in the latest Assassin's Creed game will be even longer, thanks to the new AC Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC expansion.

Following in the footsteps of substantial expansions such as Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Fate of Atlantis, AC Valhalla's Wrath of the Druids will add a large new area for players to explore in the form of Ireland. The new region will go hand-in-hand with a brand-new storyline that involves ancient mysteries and Gaelic myths.

While the most substantial part of the AC Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC won't be coming until April 29, there are numerous smaller updates planned in the leadup to the expansion's release date, some of which are available right now. Here's what Assassin's Creed Valhalla players have to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.

Everything Added In AC Valhalla's Wrath Of The Druids DLC

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Wrath of Druids Eivor Battle

The biggest new addition to Assassin's Creed Valhalla in the Wrath of the Druids is the region of Ireland itself. Once there, players will need to gain influence with Gaelic kings while unraveling the mysteries behind a druidic cult and hunting down its members. The storyline will weave in Gaelic mythology and folklore as players battle through haunted forests and other "dazzling landscapes," according to a Ubisoft press release. All that new content will come with a $24.99 price tag as a standalone purchase, though it is also included in the AC Valhalla's $39.99 season pass, which comes included with the Gold, Ultimate, and Collector's editions of the game.

The expansion's April release date may seem far away, but numerous, free, seasonal updates will be arriving in the meantime to keep players occupied. The first, the Ostara Festival, is already live in-game and will be running until April 8. It adds a new area where players can take part in various Easter-themed activities, such as decorating the settlement and competing in feats of strength. There will be new quests, as well, including one that involves Eivor having to defend the festival from "night spirits." This update also adds the AC Valhalla's visual transmog system, which allows players to customize the look of their gear regardless of what is equipped (for a small, in-game fee, of course).

Future updates to the Ostara season will see a master arrive at the settlement and inspire Eivor to perfect their combat abilities in the form of a "Mastery Challenge" mode that will build upon AC Valhalla's combat system. Expect additional rewards, as well.

The Wrath of the Druids expansion is only the first of two major expansions planned, the second being Valhalla's Siege of Paris DLC, currently slated to release in summer 2021. It, too, will be included in the game's season pass. Keep those axes sharp, because the Assassin's Creed Valhalla content isn't stopping anytime soon.
