Recent data mining leaks and rumors support Assassin's Creed Valhalla receiving future crossover stories, and Ubisoft should think about taking players back into Norway for it. Alongside AC Valhalla's Yule Festival 2021 events, Ubisoft also announced the beginning of "Crossover Stories," which will be an ongoing project. So, it looks like 2022 might be another big year for AC Valhalla if the crossover rumors prove to be true.

AC Valhalla's crossovers add additional content into the game and connect past Assassin's Creed titles with Valhalla's events. On December 14, 2021, Valhalla received its first-ever crossover narrative, featuring Odyssey's Kassandra and Valhalla's Evior coming together to complete quests despite their large time period gap and lack of lore intertwining. Ubisoft's crossover story initiative serves as a way to keep players engaged on free content until the more important expansions make their way into the game, like the new Dawn of Ragnarök DLC coming in March. However, more information has recently leaked that points toward more crossover content coming, and it looks like it could be coming fairly soon.

Rumors of where and what the next AC Valhalla crossover story will be like have started to surface. According to a source, via Blakwoodz on YouTube, the next crossover will connect Valhalla's Evior with Revelations' Ezio. Data minors have found source code that indicates Ezio's suit is coming in as a wearable legacy outfit to Valhalla, meaning it's very possible the next crossover (which was recently teased in a video) is indeed Assassin's Creed Revelations. If so, Evior could return to Norway for more adventures, but if not, Norway should be on Ubisoft's list for future crossover content. There wasn't enough to do in Norway, despite it being a major part of the narrative and it enhanced small Assassin's Creed Valhalla story details.

Norway Is A Perfect Spot For An Altair & Evior Valhalla Crossover Story

AC Valhalla Norway Northern Lights Overlook

Evior's journey begins in Norway because it's the native location of the protagonist. Not only is Norway important culturally to Evior, which is enough by itself, but it could be a vital part of the Assassin's Creed lore. However, Norway seems to be a mere starting point and introduction in AC Valhalla, and it feels like players were rushed out and thrust right into England, with no incentive to return. Its high, mountainous snow peaks are beautiful, and sailing around in the longship makes for an enjoyable experience, but there aren't many side activities or loot to collect. Ubisoft could use this opportunity to bring an Assassin's Creed Valhalla crossover story to Norway.

What a crossover in Norway would look like isn't exactly straightforward. One assassin, in particular, is a perfect fit though: Altair. Altair is Assassin's Creed original protagonist, and he stands as a fan-favorite in the community of players. Although Altair is Syrian and located some distance away from Norway, his time as an assassin also takes place in the middle ages, like Evior's. There's a lot of information that could be linked between the two, like historical events happening in both places during the same time period, and it would make the story more intriguing.

Ubisoft already incorporated two other assassins from the Middle East into Valhalla: Basim and Hytham. Both have important roles in Assassin's Creed Valhalla's ending - which makes having an Altair feature even cooler; he could provide deeper context to both Basim and Hytham. Ubisoft hasn't officially revealed Assassin's Creed Valhalla's next crossover story, but announcements are hopefully coming in early 2022.
