Pedro Jimeno has already earned the wrath of The Family Chantel fans, but his boss Laura Delgado is now under fire as viewers dive into her criminal past. Laura is 90 Day Fiancé star Pedro’s boss at her real estate company Laura Delgado Realty. She is also the aunt of Pedro’s coworker Antonella Barrenechea Streuli. Laura already came across as sketchy to many The Family Chantel viewers, but now a shady background has been unearthed in addition to being Pedro’s rumored mistress.

The Family Chantel season 4 has detailed the end of Pedro and Chantel’s marriage, which has heavily involved Pedro neglecting his wife. Pedro spends long hours with his Spanish-speaking coworkers and was initially believed to have cheated on Chantel with his married coworker Antonella. However, a flirty picture of Pedro and Laura led to viewers wondering if Laura is the woman who caused Chantel to allege Pedro was unfaithful. Many viewers already thought that Laura was fake when she comforted Chantel to her face but had snarky words to share about her behind her back.

Laura has since been called out by The Family Chantel fans as rumors swirled surrounding her and Pedro. She also has a shocking criminal past, according to a U.S. Department of Justice article. Laura was sentenced to four years and three months in prison and three years of supervised release in 2014 due to filing false tax returns that amounted to over $3.6 million claimed in fraudulent refunds. Pedro's boss had to pay over $2.1 million in restitution for her fraud after she pleaded guilty to a criminal indictment charging her with wire fraud and was officially convicted on July 7, 2014. Though Laura claims on The Family Chantel to support the Hispanic community, she was accused of taking advantage of innocent citizens who were almost exclusively Hispanic to facilitate her crimes.

While Laura’s current real estate company has been advertised for free on The Family Chantel season 4, her past crimes were not discussed. Pedro's boss previously operated a business in Norcross, Georgia, called Servicios Hispanos that provided legal and financial services primarily to members of the Hispanic community. During her time working there, Laura's unlawful refund claims came about largely by filing them in the names of undocumented individuals. She was slammed for refusing to pay her fair share of taxes in an attempt to defraud the IRS and increase her individual profits. However, her fraudulent scheme was uncovered and punished by law, even though she once again runs her own company.

Whether Laura is the woman Pedro allegedly cheated on Chantel with remains to be seen. However, many viewers are leaning toward the very real possibility that Laura helped Pedro break his marital vows. Laura already has demonstrated her lack of morality when it comes to her criminal background. Meanwhile, her relationship with Pedro appears to surpass mere coworker friendliness, especially since Pedro traveled to Peru with Laura, Antonella, and Antonella’s husband. Overall, few The Family Chantel fans trust Laura or her intentions with Pedro. However, viewers still believe Pedro is the one at fault for ending his marriage and allegedly cheating on Chantel.
