New 'A-Team' Posters: Same Guys, Slightly Different Poses

Sharlto Copley as Murdock along with A-Team co-stars

If I had to choose one show from the 80s that I want to be made into a feature length film, it would have been Dukes of Hazzard. Since Hollywood screwed that one up (thanks Jackass and Stifler), I guess I’ll have to hang my hopes on the upcoming A-Team movie.

Last October, we got our first good (Photoshopped) look at the iconic ex-military team all standing around looking cool. It was a great look at how each guy would be portraying the team members, and to this day I still have it as my desktop background.

Today, courtesy of the HeyUGuys Blog, we have a look at two new posters for The A-Team movie. Problem is, it's the exact same staged pictures of each team member, only now they're standing in different places. Oh sure, Hannibal no longer has a cigar in his mouth, Faceman is wearing a different color suit and Murdock is now smiling, but the photo editors got lazy with B.A. and simply flipped him 180 degrees.

For those of you that have been living under a rock (or were born in the 90s), here is the official synopsis for the film:

“A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.”

That is the synopsis for the film and here is the synopsis for the show that ran during the 80’s:

“Four Vietnam vets, framed for a crime they didn't commit, help the innocent while on the run from the military.”

Not too much difference, accept the writers updated the war and left out the part about helping people. Check out the new posters below and see how they compare to the header above:

I’m just nitpicking the uninspired Photoshopping but I really do like the tag line “There Is No Plan B”.

The A- Team stars Liam Neeson (Taken) as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith; Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck; Sharlto Copley (District 9) as Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock; and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Sgt. Bosco “B.A.” Baracus. Co starring in the film is Jessica Biel (Blade Trinity). The movie was written by Michael Brandt (Wanted) and directed by Joe Carnahan (Narc, Smokin’ Aces).

In case you haven't already watched it, check out The A-Team trailer.

What are your thoughts on the new posters and your expectations for The A-Team movie?

The A-Team promptly escapes from maximum security theaters on June 11, 2010.
