9-1-1: Lone Star's Natacha Karam teases Marjan's uncertain future. Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, the series first premiered in 2020 and is now in the midst of season 4 on Fox. While 9-1-1: Lone Star features multiple ongoing storylines, Marjan, a firefighter, paramedic, and social media celebrity, has been a favorite since season 1. However, season 4 has seen the adrenaline junkie in trouble after calling a former victim "crazy." Marjan's job was put on the line after she refused to comply with the department's management, ultimately resigning from the 126.

Now, in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, 9-1-1: Lone Star's Karam addresses Marjan's uncertain future on the series. When asked if her character will return to the firehouse, the actor gives a careful answer. Check out Karam's response below:

"It's not like Marjan is just going to come right back and start working at the firehouse again. That is not the arc of this season. She is gone. She's out of state. She is alone. She's off on her own adventures, which the audience will get to follow her on — but not right away."

Marjan Leaving 911 (1)

The 9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 premiere was eventful, and one particular storyline lingered for Marjan. She helped a couple, Lila and Mitch, as their mobile home caught on fire, and Lila refused to leave. Marjan called Lila crazy in front of her social media followers. The couple demanded Marjan apologize, as she did, but then asked her to link their GoFundMe to her mass following. To avoid a lawsuit, the department faced Marjan with an ultimatum: comply with the demands or be fired. Marjan refused, instead exposing Lila and Mitch's GoFundMe as an illegitimate money grab.

Luckily, Marjan's journey on 9-1-1 Lone Star is far from over, though it may take a few episodes for her to return onscreen. As Karam points out, Marjan is not coming back right away. Part of Marjan's arc in 9-1-1-: Lone Star season 4 is to do some serious soul-searching and discover what's beyond the walls of station 126. She was right in sticking by her morals and refusing to bend to Lila and Mitch's demands, but in doing so, she has placed herself in a unique situation.

Luckily, as Karam confirms herself, 9-1-1: Lone Star will show Marjan's life outside the fire department following her resignation. While it seems her season 4 arc will keep her on the sidelines, Karam's optimism suggests she will still be a significant part of the show despite this. Perhaps once she spends enough time in a different position, she will realize working as a first responder is her true passion, and she will return to the 126. Conversely, this could lead to her making a more drastic and permanent career change, albeit one that keeps her within 9-1-1: Lone Star's orbit.
